The barrel IS the action and it's very easy to change calibers, just remove 2 screw and change the barrel.
The incident regarding the rifle blowing up was cause by a reloader using pistol powder, try that with any rifle and let me know how it goes for you(sarcasms in case your wandering...)
The rifle can shoot sub moa all day long.
If you watch the Tour Of Duty ; Australia Secret War, you will see that rifle being use by the SAS.

That type of rifle has been used in lots of films. For some,at first glance think its an AI. Its an interesting design. Blaser designed so the bolt is a straight pull back. No bolt rotation takes place, the handle is pulled rearward to release the bolt when you cycle it. I heard a while back there was a QC issue that caused catastrophic failure and resulted in serious injuries, not sure if anyone died. It did drop them in popularity. Also, if I am not mistaken, the barrel and action are all one piece. Kind of makes a rebarrel tough. </div></div>
