Isn't the dogleg in the butt-plate extension going to act as a cantilever and promote muzzle flip at the shot?

Hi,

I suppose if you lowered the recoil pad to its' lowest setting in which would put the rear section of the chassis significantly above your shoulder then the rifle may be induced to flip.
But being the recoil pad is adjustable in not only vertical adjustment but horizontally angled also..it is quiet easy to get proper alignment without inducing rifle flip.

high speed-high drag

only good for HALO so it slows the free fall

not so much for hydrodynamics it will slow down the Navy Seal Delivery vehicle


all joking aside i like the edges/joints/creases on stocks or chassis

i find it easier to find the exact same position of my fingers and such by remembering what angle is where...might just be me though

So in the continuation of T&E phases we have ultimately decided on the following firing pin specifications for the Kopis and Aspis Models...

.062" firing pin tip with a .063 firing pin hole in boltface.

Also been messing around with larger level in the scope mounts...

my current rifles have large firing pin so im out of the loop on SFP (thats why i started a thread a while ago)

is .062 pin and .063 pin hole enough clearance for dirt and debris??

We utilize a Lesjofors #6086 spring for our firing pin spring. The #6086 operates at 151 Newton Meters (111 ft/lbs) spring force {We also have a 125 ft/lbs version of the Lesjofors spring}. So we purposely have the spring force to pretty much self clear any dirt/debris. Along with the way the firing pin system itself rides in the bolt via bayonet and rear bushing in the bolt it pretty much keeps the firing pin centered.

Well it is not looking good for the ol recruit!! This morning during a scheduled wellness check, the Doc found the first crack in its' armor...think the ol gal may be close to a DOR.
Doc found a chip on the delrin bolt knob cover.
Next evolution is the mud pit, so we shall see what happens......

Edited To Add: That is a firing pin from Shot Show so the tip was ground down to be in expo compliance.

YEP, the .585 boltface cartridges for both the Kopis (Short action if you will) and the Aspis (Large magnum action if you will) should be ready to release pretty much at same time we release the production rifles....maybe...that all depends on NTS for our independent destruction testing and analysis.
