How do you pick the best ammo?

The AAC-SD tends to like Federal GMM 168 and 175s. The best way to find out what your rifle likes best is to try it, but FGMM should be a top contender.
Federal Gold Medal Match is the "industry standard". If your rifle won't shoot that, it may not shoot at all. 168's are fine if you plan on shooting 600 yards and in, 175's if you plan on going farther than that.

Start with your twist rate and Google from there. You'll find what weight bullets will stabilize in your rifle. Once you know that order up some different ammo with bullets your rifle should like and see what shoots best, both at 100y and further away. If you can, measure the velocity and its deviation.
It'll say "Pretty Dang Good Ammo" on the box.

Thanks I'm gonna start with 168 for a couple boxes and then go to 175 as I increase distance
Hell in that case I'll buy a full case and liquidate it to you say 50 cents to the dollar! Lol
My AAC-SD actually produced the best accuracy with Hornady 168 Amax Match. Velocity was 2580 FPS.
You can load exactly the same with Hornday brass, 44.1 grains of Varget and 168 Amax with CCI-200 primers.

Unfortunately, the long leade in the AAC may not be doing you many favors with factory ammo. I'm loading 175 SMKs out to 2.925 COAL and I'm still not in the lands. Loading that long has improved the groups my AAC can produce though.

If you are going to go longer range in the future, just go with 175/178 bullets. That way you will be used to the round and have good dope for it.
Federal Gold Medal Match, Blackhills Match, Southwest, Copper Creek, Hornady. All make good match ammo to try. But your best results will probably be by reloading and working up a load.
