The manual says every 1000 rounds, but I read a lot about the can reaching it's best suppression potential after around 500 rounds. So how often are you guys actually cleaning this thing?
Take it apart and scrape the clam shells after each use.
I'll also give the threads a quick brush with a brass brush.
When build up starts getting in the way of reassembly, bead blast.
Don't be like the idiot over on silencer talk that put 4000 rounds through his and then it would not come apart. He sent it back to Silencerco to see what they could do with it.

It's a solution made of one part vinegar and one part hydrogen peroxide.

The dip will strip the finish off of anything you put in it. It won't hurt the metal from what I have seen but it will discolor the finished parts. An Ultrasonic cleaner will yield the same result.
