The manual says every 1000 rounds, but I read a lot about the can reaching it's best suppression potential after around 500 rounds. So how often are you guys actually cleaning this thing?

Sometimes I clean mine after 500 rounds and sometimes after 2,500 it just depends on when I have time
Well I guess my main concern is, after how many rounds is it going to be sealed shut or get damaged haha
Take it apart and scrape the clam shells after each use.
I'll also give the threads a quick brush with a brass brush.

Don't be like the idiot over on silencer talk that put 4000 rounds through his and then it would not come apart. He sent it back to Silencerco to see what they could do with it.
Out of curiosity, have you or anyone else here tried the "dip"?

The dip will strip the finish off of anything you put in it. It won't hurt the metal from what I have seen but it will discolor the finished parts. An Ultrasonic cleaner will yield the same result.
