How to remove Accurate Mag Floorplate

Well, my google fu must be sorely lacking today. I searched every way I could think to try and find a video or instructions on "how to remove an Accurate Mag floorplate?" Anyone have any recommendations?

I made a small effort to try and pry the floorplate loose with a flat bladed screwdriver, but made no progress. I didn't want to brute force it and break it so I just stopped. I am trying to install the MPA +4 magazine bottom on an Accurate .308 Mag. Their video shows the install, but not the removal of the accurate floorplate.

Thanks.

I put a hex wrench in the hole on the bottom, press it against the edge of a table and press down. It needs to get over the indentation, so it might take a little muscle.

Hilarious!!! I was having the same dilemma today for the same reason and yup, the google-fu results were pretty thin.

I ended up tapping on the back of the floor plate with the handle of a screwdriver at just the right angle until I got it to move a little. Once it moved enough to get the blade of a flat head screw driver in the opening/gap between the floor plate and the mag body I was able to pry from there until the indented part of the floor plate was free of the mag body. The rest was easy.

It did require quite a bit of sanding and polishing of the follower to get it to feed reliably and not stick inside the mag body. I also 'adjusted' and polished the feed lips some to get the bolt to slide over them smoothly and not 'drag'.

It now feeds reliably and fairly smoothly and it does so with 15 rounds on mine.

What grit did you sand with? I was going to use 400 or 600 grit? The followers for mine stuck quite a bit at my first match a few weeks ago. But, we were shooting in some pretty aweful wet and sandy conditions too.
