I bought a used Iphone on here a week or so ago. It came in and It was flawless. After fondling it quite thoroughly I dropped the damn thing on my tile floor. Shattered is the best description I can give. I was physically sickened by this and possibly shed a tear but I am having trouble recalling since I blacked out shortly after this incident. When I came back from my out of body experience I sat at the computer and looked up repair shops. Found out one can purchase the necessary parts and diy a screen replacement (among other things). I ordered the stuff apprehensively thinking I would end up with a shattered Iphone as well as a shattered replacement screen. To my absolute fucking amazement it was EASY to replace. Went without a hitch. The total for parts and the little kit I bought to do it was like 20 bucks or something. I am going to dig through the ipod graveyard in my office and start replacing batteries. Why not...

At least I wont go into a fit of rage followed by a sorrow induced coma when my 2 year old son inevitably tries to play frisbee with the Ipad while no one is watching.

iPhone is on Verizon Feburary 10th. Now I'm just waiting for my ATT contract to run out.

The only problem with the iphone and Verizon is that the Verizon network cannot handle the multi function of the iphone such as the AT&T net work can. With AT&T you can talk will sending and receiving e-mails and performed all functions on the phone while talking. With the Verizon network you cannot talk while sending and receiving e-mails and other functions cannot be performed while talking.

Have you used ATT 3G lately? It's slower than two turtles fucking on a cold morning where I'm at. For the past week it won't even bring up a simple map, or the web browser. ATT's response " The network is being overloaded and we don't have a solution yet."

Samsung Vibrant for me and Shooter is a great app. I like being able to upgrade the memory with just a SD card swap. I snagged a Body Glove hard case for it after I found out there's no Otter Boxes for the Vibrant.
The next day I figured I could make a case to slide the phone in and protect the screen out of the same Kydex i use for making knife sheaths and handgun holsters. it only took 30 minutes and works great.
