The entire discussion over whether Kavanaugh should be confirmed or not has become a decided issue. Someone at CNN said Kavanaugh's confirmation left an open, or gaping wound on the country. My thought was to tell him to toughen up, because when obummer was elected, many of us lived with an open wound for eight years, but we lived through it..gaping wound and all.

I think Jerry should’ve titled the thread “I don’t think Kavanaugh should have been nominated”. At this point, the confirmation isn’t about whether you like him or not. It is about presumption of innocence. A failure to confirm would’ve been the beginning of a new leftist trend of verdict by accusation.

I think some folks missed another win in this mess. Avanti is now getting the blame for the Dem fail. By jumping in front of the Dem shit storm with a fake bimbo (edit, real bimbo with obvious fake claims) he removed what little credibility the libs had. Now, they are turning on him. This is huge and we will reap rewards.

No one turns on their losers like the Dems. Mike Dukakis could not even get a seat at the Democrat National Convention after losing his presidential bid. They are like their beloved communist commissars who sat behind the troops and machined gunned any who failed to go forward and get machine gunned by the Germans. Dem motto is "You fail, you die." They even abandon the lady who was Jane Doe in the Roe V Wade once they used her up. Avanti is toast.

It is really comical. You have to give them credit for trying. One thing after another.

I view this as just another hissy fit that will go nowhere. They are idle threats. The only way that they may be credible threats would be if they get control of Congress. Then they could move forward with all of it. However, at that point, it would not go so well because many of us quiet resisters would not be so quiet anymore.

As long as we control Congress, they are nothing more than estrogen fueled vagina monologues.

If we don't hold in November, we'll witness a string of "intolerable acts" on both State and Federal levels. Everyone keeps on casting about, trying to calculate the hinge moment, the casus belli. when we go sliding towards glorious perdition in a hand-basket. I'd say that that might just be it.
