Hell yes.... Mormon Tabernacle Choir gives me goose bumps. Veer is just as much American as I am, who was born and raised in Wyoming. The south does not hold purchase on what is American. This coming from only a third generation Norwegian.

I will predict that Trump will get two more picks. RBG will retire or snuff it and Clarence Thomas will retire after this session. Thomas is solid. No gain there. Replacing RBG puts the court in safe hands for years.... unless the commies follow through with their stated objective to simply add 4 more seats and fill them with activists. There is precedent.

PS The 'next phase' of the left's attack on the Constitution has already begun... with Eric Holder now the front man for the idea that the Supreme court is now an illegitimate body in the wake of Kavanaugh's appointment. In other words, if the court is not filled with activist judges who will re-write the Constitution to fit a communist agenda... it's not a valid body. Four legs good, two legs better.

Bottom line, as long as that ilk walks the streets and uses our constitution to undermine our freedom and impose their statist view on us like we are government slaves we are at risk, incrementalism will win out in the end. Crony capitalism... is at the heart of fascism... which is exactly what these guys say they are against. Yet they are all up to their eyeballs in it. Fascsim is, by definition, crony capitalism. Where private citizens own the means of production (vs Communism where the 'people' own the means of production.) And the government is in league with the private citizens to provide workers and control competition. This is how these people operate.
Heck, even Bernie the full-blown communist is a multi-millionaire... yet never cashed anything but the check of an elected-office-holder. He is proud of being the "Poorest" U.S. Senator... being worth just a few million dollars. Six mil, I think. Including 3 houses. Nice ones. Well, and then all the money his wife made... funneled through her because he had a seat on Banking Committee... And could, with a wave of his hand, quash any bank that did not finance... his wife's projects. Like Burlington College. That she bankrupted while she and her friends made millions. They are afraid because if they are ultimately out of power, their 'idealism' can and will be exposed for what it is. A giant ripoff of the American taxpayer, while destroying the Constitution.

Said that when Communism was ascendant, there would be a group of people within the ruling class that would 'jump on board' and espouse Communist values, believing that there would never be a full implementation, but that when the Communists came to power, they would be needed... for their assets, their wise counsel, their education, their ability to 'run things like they always had.' Marx and Lenin both made sure to explain that these people would have to be liquidated early after the Revolution. Even though they were useful during the time leading up to the Revolution. They made no bones that these people were counter-revolutionary, even though they acted all "commie and stuff" and would have to go. And you know what Lenin and Stalin and Trotsky and Dzerninsky and all the other good little revolutionaries did? They killed them!
Eventually, these folks will lose their ability to quash the questions. And they won't have plum favors to hand out. And largesse and money. And then the long knives come out. Happened to Tip O'Neill... happened to Tom DeLay. Once the power is gone... the enemies come out from under their ooze. They are hoping that in the eventual rise of a bright, shining socialist future, they will be the ones who will have the mantle of leadership.
One way or another.... they are nothing more than criminals and opportunists. Who ended up in office by hook and, usually, by crook.
I tend to be the optimist... but some days, my optimism is challenged.
