Me so hoohnySay good night to Suzie Wong.
Lol, I have one savage 7mm wsm that was money owed to me paid in that cheap crap.
Lmao I'd invite into my gun room, but you're not worthy! Built all my firearms with my own bare hands.Piece by piece, carefully selected parts. Other than one glock and this cheap savage that someone couldn't pay in cash for my services.
Interesting parallel, but yes. That’s how money works. So if I can afford a Honda I can save more and get a Lambo.....sweet!!
I work in manufacturing. Fuck China.Hahahahaa, I have one buddy. You are clueless all of you just love drama and just love stepping in on what you have no idea what's really going on.
I work in manufacturing. Fuck China.
Wow, welcome to the forum, your points have already been dealt with. You're way behind, as a matter of fact the original creator spoke already about this and it's been debated without your asshole opinion. Who are you to tell me how many tripods I need? What's it to you? Are paying for it? You want to pay for my RRS tripods? Are you the new tripod police now? That no one knew about? Are you the one keeping track of my $$$ ? How entitled of you. I'll spend my $$$ where ever the fuck I deem necessary I already given my money to RRS and to Leofoto I would give more of my $$$ to RRS if they were cheaper, matter of fact, I'm thinking fatboy is next. I'm one of those RRS customers you speak of, but I'm only talking about greedy corporations, as if there's none!So let me get this straight, you can afford more than $10,000 worth of custom rifle set ups but bitch about ponying up the extra cash for a tripod that you can use on all of them as well as for a spotting scope or other glass? I mean honestly how many tripods does one person need?
Also why do you assume greed is the only motivation for the high price? They have employees and vendors to pay, a building and property taxes to cover and R&D to fund. All of that costs money and considering they moved locations in 2018 and continue to develop new equipment it’s clear they are putting money back into the business. Sure they could price them lower but since they are routinely sold out it appears the vast majority of their customers don’t have a problem with the price. Pretty sure the saying goes “If you have more work than you can handle you aren’t charging enough for your services”.
And if you think they are greedy then why is it not greedy for Leofoto to let RRS build the market & do the market research and R&D work before stealing their design, copying their site and paying their workers slave wages so they can offer the product cheaper with the intent to undercut RRS in the the market they helped build?
In my line of work I’ve bid against the Chinese on a few projects, the last one was a cast part with some machining done. Their selling price for the complete unit to the customer was cheaper than what I could get the raw casting for from a US based foundry
Don't forget to warm your milk before bed MILK DUD! Lmao fucking pendejo!Hey SparkTranny420, say good night to Suzie Wong for us.
That’s not true, plenty of companies are more than happy to move manufacturing off shore to save a buck or two.No, China took advantage of what a few politicians granted them. It wasn't American greed, it was politicians greed. They were paid off by China and still are, and allow China to then steal from us.
Pretty sure this guy is the tripod policeAre you the new tripod police now?
The people that did this have more allegiance to Israel than America.Take it easy.
Americans sold Americans out for a cheap buck.
We did this to ourselves.
Particularly in manufacturing.
Listen you guys keep your little jerk off club and keep blowing eachother off. I'm out! Enough time wasted with fucking disrespectful minions.
The people that did this have more allegiance to Israel than America.

Not a free market if one side engages in industrial espionage, government subsidized price undercutting and other illegal practices by WTO rules. Just saying.Every company in the world will produce goods in China if it can, with the current market rates for goods and services.
Such is the power of the Free Market.
Volkswagen.
Tesla.
Toyota.
Sony.
Milwaukee.
You name it.
The list goes on and on.
It’s naïve to suppose that some evil, scheming little Asians screwed virtuous, noble Americans of their God - given way of life and high standard of living.
Quite frankly, it’s idiotic.
Being blasphemous just to stress a point - the sheer inertia of the Free Market is more powerful than Jesus.

Hey, you wanna knock your shit off before I bounce your ass outta here?Nobody gives a fuck how many bow kills you have or how much pipe you can lay. If you had read back to the beginning you'd know that I was simply making a statement . Looks like some of you are the ones getting feelings hurt. Non confrontational? I think you need to check yourself Rambo. The ones getting their feelers hurt are telling me to not get my feelings hurt! Lmao right !! So I'll be a good little boy and obey the masters. Eat a dick assholes!
Yay!Hey, you wanna knock your shit off before I bounce your ass outta here?
You want to argue, take it to the pit. Not in the technical forums. Clear?
Yay!
Yeah, you're right, it's such a "free market " globally.....Talk about niave..... I don't care enough to explain why China can do what it does and at our expense but it's definitely being enabled by our government at our peoples expense. We impose all of these rules and regs and exempt them from any of it.... yeah, that free market..... good grief.Every company in the world will produce goods in China if it can, with the current market rates for goods and services.

But this is already the knockoff. @Sparky is fun when they decide to play. No banning that Sparky. He can’t BAN Sparky, sparky will just get a cheap Chinese knock off and ban him instead, see how that works.
If you want to sell a car (Heavy equipment too) in China, it has to be built in China. No imports. And it's a huge market that's growing.
IMO, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. But I'm not in charge of tariffs or imports, so...
I was under the impression that you could not import automobiles in masse to China. Is this true for heavy equipment as well? That isn't true. Cars made outside of China can be imported for sale in China. There are import tariffs but, which can be cost prohibitive, but foreign cars can be imported into China.
Oh yeah, and where is that mighty 1.6% of the market being imported from??? Get real this is a clown show. Hat cars are they? Its not even close to a level anything. It's completely one sided and the only reason it is such is because our politicians allow it to be so. Why is that??? Well we all know why don't we. Hells bells, we have a vp candidate thats a Chinese proxy and many others who do their bidding to get paid
"Man up"??? You're an idiot. You are making my point for me but you're too dumb to realize itView attachment 8505783
1/4 their population, yet we import 3x as much cars.
They must have an excellent public transport system…
The only clowns here are us Americans
Time to man up, innovate, and take back the lead.
I was under the impression that you could not import automobiles in masse to China. Is this true for heavy equipment as well?
And it seems as most of everyone here, their priorities is set on a tripod. Amongst all of these other important matters. They choose to ridicule a guy for wanting a slight lower price on a tripod, that I know everyone here would agree, is significantly overpriced! But hey, my one trick is my main point, so you're right it's the only one I'll give in this topic, because yes there's no conspiracy to topple this great nation I reside in by purchasing a freaking 500 dollar tripod, someone asked, " you think RRS cares what I think ". I know you gentleman do, then they must if it's brought on this lenghty discussion. So, RRS, would you please restructure your pricing of products that you bring to the market?. If not, it's no threat to me, I will still think your greedy regardless of what Milk dud thinks or what Carbon brain says. Maybe will see the engineers of Leofoto go missing like the engineers on board of Malaysian flight MH370.If you want to do big(ger) business in China, forced knowledge transfer is a thing. And IP theft is endemic across all sizes of companies…even between Chinese firms.
The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) July 31, 2023 article on IP perils in China:
How China’s Political System Discourages Innovation and Encourages IP Theft
How China’s Political System Discourages Innovation and Encourages IP Theft - The SAIS Review of International Affairs
U.S. observers have long complained that Chinese firms steal intellectual property (IP) from American companies, universities, and research institutions.¹ Most of these complaints stress that the government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) directs this theft. Other analysts focus on...saisreview.sais.jhu.edu
In other economic news, I don’t think you really want to live in a “true” free market economy (or, of course, a communist one).
A true free market apparently would have no IP protections like patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. No guaranteed vacation, weekends off, no government-limited work hours, NDA limits, monopoly-policing, sick leave, recourse for being fired due to a work injury, insurance, etc. None of it guaranteed.
And long-term in such a system, do you really think big biz would give those things to you out of the goodness of their heart(s)? After all, it just takes one firm to cut back on benefits to get a financial advantage, and it’s a then race to the bottom.
Presently, it seems like different sets of three-to-five big firms own entire sectors of our 2024 US economy. Under an unregulated (“true”) free market, I’m pretty sure everything would vector towards ONE firm effectively controlling entire sectors. Maybe even owning MULTIPLE sectors.
There would be very little innovation because why? No incentive if Big Corp will just steal your idea.
And…things like food inspection? Ha! Because regulation bad.
For example, take a gander at the History Channel’s article looking into the Upton Sinclair fictional novel called The Jungle that you might have had to read in high school. It’s about the US meat packing industry around 1915, and had a general factual basis.
Point #6 on the page linked below:
“Bills designed to regulate the food industry had been languishing in Congress for decades until The Jungle came out and thrust them into the national spotlight. After the book’s publication, Roosevelt wasted no time in directing the U.S. Department of Agriculture to investigate Sinclair’s claims. It reported back that The Jungle was mostly lies and exaggerations. But because Roosevelt distrusted its close ties to the meatpacking industry, he secretly instructed Labor Commissioner Charles P. Neill and social worker James B. Reynolds to likewise take a look.Neill and Reynolds found that meat was being “shoveled from filthy wooden floors, piled on tables rarely washed, pushed from room to room in rotten box carts, in all of which processes it was in the way of gathering dirt, splinters, floor filth, and the expectorations of tuberculous and other diseased workers.” They also observed laborers urinating near the meat and ancient meat being re-labeled as new.”7 Things You May Not Know About 'The Jungle' | HISTORY
Get the facts on Upton Sinclair’s muckraking masterpiece.www.history.com
Of course, all that will matter to a select few is that Sinclair was a member of the Socialist Party. Perhaps you like unregulated meat?
Oh, you will raise your own cattle and chickens. I see.
Ok, how about unregulated Rx meds? No gov crash tests on car manufacturers? No mandatory electrical safety or power plant emissions controls? No gov rules governing oil spills into aquifers, rivers, lakes, land, or oceans? No gov mandatory medical college standards…it’s all up for grabs.
My point is there is a balance of priorities in life.
There seems to be at least three different “voices” on your account, as seen in your various posts through time. And it seems as most of everyone here, their priorities is set on a tripod. Well, I don't claim to be perfect in grammar, haven't at all in any of these post, not sure why that's an issue on this site. Maybe it's your only comeback you have in your attempt to ridicule me. I'm sure that everyone else caught my sarcasm. There seems to be at least three different “voices” on your account, as seen in your various posts through time.
First kinda illiterate, then semi-literate, and now literate-ish (grammar-wise) but still unable to space paragraphs or make a cogent argument.

Not really a surprise, is it? All the forums and comment boards are inundated with Chinese and Iranian troll farms. Anyone know what the price of tea in china, is at currently? All of the companies that do business with china to produce their products have danced with the devil. They wanted cheap labor to get a higher profit. Once the Chinese fulfill their quota with the companies they continue to make that product and ship it out the back door even cheaper. Then the companies complain ( I’m not saying RRS specifically but if the product is made in china then it does apply)….
Here’s the thing, you dance with the devil and you will be screwed. Not screwed in the way that you want but you will get screwed…. That’s the cost of doing business with china….
Will it be fun for me?Sparks, you see that cat gif @MarinePMI posted?
