I heard bump stocks are back on the menu?

This is the win I was talking about in another thread.
Waiting patiently for the Texas suppressor lawsuit win. Very, very patiently. But it's coming!
I think the biggest question will be if manufacturers still have the tooling readily available to spin back up production, and if they even will in the first place. They will remember it was Trump and the rest of the swampy Republicunts who "banned" them the first go-around, and we can all be sure if the stoppage on the illegal ban gets past SCOTUS there will be a big push to make it official via legislation. Personally, of course, I'd still feel that would be unconstitutional and against "...shall not be infringed", but with past rulings including Scalia's noting restrictions are constitutional in Heller, we'd be fucked.
Anyhow, that would be a whole lot of money to invest into spinning back up production of bump stocks only to get fucked over yet again.
The better result of this case is a major court of appeals stating regulatory bodies can't simply change interpretation of laws unilaterally to fit their present day cause. Legislation is one thing, that's part of our Constitutional Republic that I accept (barring outright restriction on Constitutional Rights), but regulation is where the real swamp breeds its agenda driven regressions of freedom. One small but potentially further reaching restriction on that is a major win in my book.

I just read this as government agencies can't arbitrarily change the law. There was nothing legal about what Trump and the ATF did. The law was pretty clear, and they just chose to ignore it. We are waiting on the pistol brace rule, but Trump did more for gun control than Obama did, and so far, Biden too.
Yeah the whole, "take the guns first, go through due process second" ... that's 'winning.'
Along with an admonition from the 5th Circuit that the 'rules' can't be made by unelected bureaucrats.
Now the ripple effect is going to be interesting.
But, IMHO, states, localities, etc. will keep passing bans and forcing owners into expensive court cases. Lawyers and accusations will tie up 2A civil rights for decades. And go after manufacturers, sellers, etc. With ECG banking or just endless trivial lawsuits and soon-to-be-found Unconstitutional laws... that will be enforced rigidly until found unconstitutional. At which point, lives will already be ruined.
It's called Fabian Socialism... and simply involves wearing your opponent down forever with the endless resources of the socialist state and apparatus. It's why socialism in all its forms should be crushed and destroyed. Because at their roots they are organized TO DESTROY individial freedom. In favor of Social Conformity. That is what socialism is. And it always ends in camps, gulags and genocide.
Are we getting that yet? The founders were geniuses... the Bill of Rights and its underlying principle of Natural Rights is the most brilliant philosophical concept in history. Period.

This is gonna be a big blow to the upcoming “rule change” their trying to come out with sometime this month regarding the pistol braces, according to what I read on the internet.
From what I gather, this ruling will pertain to braces as well. So it pumped the brakes completely on that, for now.
What needs to happen is prosecution for all these Legislatures that continue to try and implement these clearly unconstitutional measures that continuously get reversed in the high courts. They are wasting time and resources and should be held accountable. Doing it once and having it shot down is one thing, but they continuously try and do the same shit over and over and over.

Why does no one mention the NRA in regards to blame for the bump stock ban? They're the ones who supposedly represent us, and then told Trump he should do it to help protect "our" rights, right?

I actually never got into the whole Bump stock thing. But it's America and so people who want them should have them!!! Today more than ever!!!!

I never went down that road, the bump stock. Most close I got was a screwed up G43 (german rifle not glock) that would do a double or triple now and again. An Apfeltor (shooters kit, new springs and such) fixed that for me. Just incase someone has the "german garand" here is a link to "THE" guy for all things G/K43

Shooting the "real thing machine gun" is a giggle at first but then it is a bit of a bore. I sit there and count the rounds and the $$$ just ringing in my head, even on a sub gun.....so expensive to feed, and after a time or two it is just a bore.

One of my last times at a public range, could be the last time don't remember there was a guy shooting a flint lock a few lanes down from me. They call cease fire, with that you unload and open the actions. Then the putz....err range master would walk the isle and after he was happy you could go down and change your targets. He had a cow with the muzzle loader guy, gun not unloaded. The "discussion" went of for a few minutes then the muzzle loader guy was told to leave.

I'm not an NRA supporter, never have. But this is more fuel to the fire as to why. We don't need "gun rights" organizations supporting unconstitutional gun laws, i mean rules... Bloomberg already has enough gun control groups already playing that game.
Lumping a Bump Stock, Pistol Brace, and a Binary Trigger into the "Just never got it seemed silly" is not the basis for an intelligent discussion of any of the above.
Personally, I think those three things are fuckin stupid, but people should be able to own them if they want to.

This is the problem with the other branches thumbing their nose at the Judicial branch. Bruen is but one example, how many states are boldly giving the middle finger to the SCOTUS. You know without a doubt the Brandon administration will just ignore all the laws they want and go hard on anything conservative or against their agenda to ruin the country.
Exactly, on the state level they're going to say "okay fine, let every individual appeal their conviction, and if it eventually makes it all the way up to be overturned, we'll worry about it then." No loss to them, they're fighting with your money.

It's a little different when you have scotus behind you but I wouldn't argue against what you say, it's true. Doesn't take that many to effect change though
The NRA is not the only pro-freedom organization out there. Yes, the media is giving them less coverage, other than mud slinging, than in the past IMHO in an effort to reduce their impact.
Wish I could say they are active as they were in the past. They are active but the donations aren't there today.
