A 7.62MM gas gun is another story. Such a weapon iwill just have to accept M-110 pattern magazines, in my book. Yes, good barrels are available. but, where are you going to get proof round tested, MP-inspected bolts, centerless ground bolt carriers, or dimensionally correct uppers and lowers? I have tried and so far been unsuccessful.
I've owned five KAC 7.62MM of one description or another.
I've owned three AR-10's.
I've owned five LMT MWS 7.62's.
They are all sold, gone, and good riddance. But, I admittedly have not owned everything out there.
I also have a Larue OBR and PredatAR in 7.62MM that I am keeping. As soon as the Larue PredatOBR (silly name, but I get it!) in 7.62MM becomes available, I'll get one of those, too.
Good shooting,
Wes

I have no idea what you mean by "dimensionally correct" uppers, etc etc..... My EMC was quite, eh, "correct", and my MWS is as well. My old Armalite, rest its'soul, was pretty spot on too...
As for bolts... You ever taken apart the BCG of the MWS that you owned? The bolts are stamped "MP".....
The Larue's are pretty good from what all I here too. I would like to test drive one...
