Just from the shenanigans over the report button here on this very site, I think the predictions that I posted earlier about what would happen if a nationwide red flag law is to be passed may very well be accurate...

Shit, I hit the “report button” on myself, just about every time I try to edit my Siri dictation.... I have to think twice.. Maybe, some of the guys complaining should also think twice about using the button.

Well, I'm not the Internal affairs detective. But I have brought issues I've seen up to my chain of command. As far as criminal activity, there were 2 at my agency who got caught with their hands in the cookie jar and over $50k was discovered missing. Charges were filed on them. And to be quite honest, my agency is pretty good at policing itself... even when they were trying to fire me based on a BS investigation. Story for a different day.
I'm looking to get out of law enforcement here in CA. Getting a bit too silly for me.

so i'm reading thru this and i'm not sure i'm reading it right or wrong. Is the bearpit open to everything "except" bad mouthing LE and nude pics showing snatch? I don't bad mouth them on here, but do openly at my own business in my hometown on occassion, of which i can guarantee i have justification. I don't want to get banned because of doing something stupid as i guess i did a couple weeks ago. Only thing i can think of is i posted a picture cartoon that must have went against the grain. On the bright side, i buy a lot on here and it saved me some money for a week of course i figured out a long time ago, there are good people and bad people in all walks of life. Not worth losing to much sleep over, i just post a ton of meme's on my FB page to let folks know how i feel. MZ likes banning me also. but i've got awfully thick skin and nothing or nobody's gonna change the way i feel about things.

OK, not exactly a criminal complaint (which one might expect from a sworn law enforcement officer who witnesses a criminal act in a nation where the law is supposed to apply equally to all), but I'll take the plural "issues" to mean more than once.
But I'll take this to mean that on other occasions you just looked the other way.
So the issues you brought up to your chain of command resulted in criminal charges? And is there any likelihood that the "BS investigation" had anything to do with reporting those issues?
It shouldn't come as a surprise that a lot of people don't trust law enforcement to not "look the other way" for their buds while at the same time jacking everyone else up for petty stuff in comparison. I'll be the first one to commend commendable acts, but I won't be quiet when I see condemnable behavior.
It's ironic that a profession that exists to bring consequences for wrongful conduct gets so offended when their own misdeeds are simply criticized, especially when those misdeeds so rarely result in actual consequences. When the shoe fits, you have to wear it.

I think it’s more of the ones that start out and out calling for some sort of violence. Be it against anyone, not just LE. Or getting outright nasty with stuff.
There’s a big difference in posting about encountering LE and not agreeing with what happened and some of the shit that gets posted here.
Also, as pointed out, it drives away anyone in LE from the conversation. Many, many times the poster/s either don’t understand the law or they don’t look at it from the LEO’s perspective (I.E. 95% of people I encounter are good people, but if I treat everyone as if they are not a potential threat, eventually that 5% is going to get me. That doesn’t mean I don’t treat everyone with respect until warranted otherwise).
But many people have the same reactions we see with the far left when it comes to gun “control.” They lose their minds over something they don’t understand.
After a while, people from the LE side stop engaging in conversations all together.

I mean, SH is top shelf in this regard, but other venues silence all discussion rather than handling the problem properly.
