As a recently retired California LEO some of the posts are pretty hard to read. I was part of several enforcement teams doing numerous warrants, searches and high risk arrests every day. I've probably been in several thousand homes uninvited. While my team often had complaints, none were legitimate and we generally left things and people the way they were before we got there. That included numerous firearms that folks lawfully possessed. Painting any group because of the actions of a few never helps.

Lets see, been arrested (not convicted) for being a dumb-ass when I was 13, been ticketed 4 times while being a dumb-ass, been ticketed 1 time for someone else being a dumb-ass (long story), been ticketed 2 times because the cop was being an ass, had the cops show up at the house because my son was being a dumb-ass, had the cops show up at the house 3 times because we told them that others were being dumb-asses, and not once was their a problem between me and the cop.
