Imported carbon fiber tripod (RT90C)

Highly doubt they are made in the US. 32MM is puney. The benefit of the RT90C is actually its heavier weight and 40MM carbon legs.. Much more stable than lighter platform and you can even add a ballast to it to increase stability. The only ones that look to be made in the US are $900+ and look heavy.

Seriously. Just but a RT90C , an Anvil 30 and the adapter. Its $800 and you can always upgrade the tripod down the road. Its a proven combination and you won't see anyone saying anything bad about it.

Go with something proven otherwise enjoy everything that goes with being a test dummy.

Wait a minute. In another thread you were all "RRS or nothing" and shit about leading horses to water.

Where's the picture of your setup? You have both of these? Or none of these?

Two week for delivery given the mailing crisis with shipments. #winning

Don't have any experience with any other tripod to compare it to. For the the money felt like it was a good starting point. Went with the Anvil 30. Need one of the @midwestoffroad adapters to sure it up.

Going to try and get it out this weekend to mess with it a bit.

In same boat. Mine arrived today. Just short of two weeks and MUCH faster than I expected. This is also my first serious tripod so I can't offer comparison. It seems super stable. Build quality seems outstanding. I am now just waiting on next batch of adapters from @midwestoffroad :)

Any chance you can show us what your making them on? what type of lathe? Tooling?

lots of shops looking for jobs now might be worth drawing it up in fusion360 and getting bids for a big batch. Could save you a ton of money and time.
In just doing them on a manual harding lathe. Then doing the counter bored holes on a Bridgeport. .

I snagged the "Used" one off Amazon earlier this week. $218. Open box, all that is missing is the adapter for the "bowl". Tripod appears to have only been removed from the plastic, then put back in.

Now just have to get time off work to go shooting. Thinking my Hog Saddle tripod is going up for sale.

Before I get e-buttfvcked by you guys has anyone tried the Innorel RT90C tripod? It's carbon fiber with 40mm tubes. Max height is about 63" and low about 7" and can support 80+ pounds. They are going for $290 or so imported from China.
Yes I'm all about supporting vendors and keeping money state side but if any vendor can sell me a similarly spec'ed tripod for the same price I'm game. Two Vets sells a similar one (40 Mike Mike) and no offense but $200 difference can buy me a shit load of other stuff. Yes yes.. RRS buy once cry once. I honestly I think I'll be fine with a $300 tripod for now.

If you can't or don't want to spend RRS $$ (great gear) Look for an Oben Carbon fiber Tripod - There was a big sale a few months ago. Originally$ 499 on sale for$ 299. Video model supports up to 39.5 lbs and is 3.5lbs total IIRC.

I’ve been watching for a “used one” and haven’t seen one. They must got quick.

Personally I'm saving a dollar a week for a rrs, within the next ten years I bet I'll catch a sale, or someone else will make a similar or better product here in the US for less. China, I don't need it.

That $520 dollars..... better plant to wait for about 30 years.

:oops: :sneaky::LOL:

I did not start at zero I started at what I thought a nice tripod ought to cost, and every year I'm adding a bit. Some year the twain may meet, Things that never go on sale, never go on sale, until they do.

Brand new here to ARCA rail setups with tripods...I used pvc and an old sleeping pad. Im not forking out RRS money right now on a new tripod. Im being cheap I know...but with this tripod...

Will that ball head/ mounting system clamp on an ARCA rail?? Please help...any suggestions. I tried reading thru this forum but its pretty extensive at this point. Thanks again

According to the description on leofoto's site https://www.leofoto.com/products_detail.php?id=252
the clamp is an ARCA Swiss Style and the BPL 50 plate is cut in a ARCA Swiss type dovetail however since arca-swiss does not have a particular standard it may or may not fit other brands accessories of the Arca Swiss type
Well thats annoying. I dont get why pic rails had to be reinvented

Well because they suck in a application where you shoot from a tripod, and need to slide the rifle in the dovetail. Same with a bipod on a dovetail, very flexible to be able to loosen, slide, tighten as situations dictate.

I come from a military background. Have yet to compete but I just don't see the need for all of that. Im sure if I compete ill find some use but pic rails have always done the job...im sure better things exist I've always just made the most of what I had

I have contacted the individuals that have reached out to me in order for the plates that I currently have available .

If you didn't see a PM then your In luck you are on the next run planned first week of July.

Anyone not able or no longer interested that I did send a message to just let me know so I can contact the next person on the list .

Do you know if these plates also fit the cayer tripods troy (dst) sells?

Has anyone had their legs separate from the locking collar? Was out shooting yesterday and had one separate. I will be epoxying it tonight, but sucks that it failed that quickly. I guess I sorta expected something like this to happen sooner or later. Was just hoping it would have been later.

Whoa, not good. Anybody else had this problem? From the feedback I have read most people were happy with the tripod. The feedback almost has me convinced to just get this setup and save money instead of a RRS tripod.

Yeah i love the tripod and I really don't think its gonna be a big issue(after the epoxy cures). It looks like the glue released after locking then trying to unlock the lower leg.

I think i remember a few other guys had this problem.

Yeah nothing some epoxy can't fix ... Your chances of getting anyone from inorell is slim to none from what I've heard

I haven’t had any issues with mine. Shot a bunch of matches with it. Drug it all over the place with me. Used it at the NRL tuff mudder match. I mean Bighorn Match. If it was going to fail it would of been there.

Open to suggestions....here is what I am trying to do:

Mount a Swaro spotter along with a Sig LRF on the tripod for spotting/ranging use. I would like to be able to remove those fairly quickly and use the tripod with either a HOG saddle or a RRS mount to shoot from in a hunting situation.

Mount the spotter and LRF to an Abel table or something similar. Put an arca plate on the bottom. Also put an arca plate on the bottom of your Hog saddle. Then you can go between the two. Just put an arca clamp on the leveling base. You can do the same with picatinny but it seems that is falling out of favor. ADM makes a QD picatinny clamp.

get a Grey Ops Amp plate. has the arca rails and clamps all built in. I finally ran mine this past weekend and love it.

So i actually bought Innorel's ballhead and it was out of spec. I contacted them through Amazon and they shipped me a new one and returned the other one. I just dont want to go through that crap again, as I can just epoxy it and will probably be stronger lol.

Where is everyone buying their Anvil30's from? Best price? Just ordered the RT90c. Need to get the Midwest plate and Anvil 30 now..

Price is $350 just about everywhere. Apparently RRS is pretty militant about everyone maintaining the price!

I got mine from Thermal Optics Plus. They had it in stock and shipped very quickly! Happy to help out a small business owner.

Try here but text them at number on website first to confirm availability. Very quick responses to texts.

Mine included free shipping and no tax. All you need if you are getting the MWOR plate is the $350 Anvil 30 by itself without a plate.
