I am looking at buying a IOR 2.5-10 x 42 30mm FFP with the Illuminated reticle. I cannot find anything about a adjustable parallax on this scope. I've always used Leupold Mk 4s, which have a side focus parallax, and though I couldn't be happier with a Mk 4, I do like variety. My question(s):

- is there a parallax adjustment?
- Does it matter? why or why not?

If this has been asked, and answered, I'm sorry, the search capabilities of this site aren't exactly like google, and I would like to move on this scope rather quickly. If there is a huge thread about this, just point me to it.

Thanks,
AJ

Re: ??: IOR Valdada 2.5-10 x 42 adj. parallax

No parallax adjustment on that model.

The reasoning is that at 10x or less, adjustable parallax is not required. Notice the 2.5-10x Nightforce doesn't have it either.

Re: ??: IOR Valdada 2.5-10 x 42 adj. parallax

My IOR 2.5-10 does not have adjustable parallax I believe due to it being only 10x at top end they figured it was not needed. have had no issues with ours.

Ok, thank you very much for this information.

One follow up question. I am not trying to start a war, I promise. Are Valdadas as durable and tolerant of abuse as Leupolds?

Re: ??: IOR Valdada 2.5-10 x 42 adj. parallax

The 2.5-10x42mm IOR has been their flagship scope and best performer for several decades. It will certainly hold its own against Leupold.

Re: ??: IOR Valdada 2.5-10 x 42 adj. parallax

I haven't noticed any parallax issues with mine and yeah they are about as durable as a leupold. Not as durable as a Nightforce though.

If you've only had vari-x 2's and 3's you'll probably shit a brick when you look through an IOR.
