Is John Bolton a snake?

Ther Democrats seem to have developed short term memory loss on John Bolton.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee is expected to vote on Bolton’s nomination as early as today. We talk to Steve Clemons of the TheWashingtonNote.com and John Nichols of The Nation about a series of allegations concerning Bolton abusing his authority at the State Department and Bolton’s role in securing George W. Bush’s victory during the 2000 Florida recount.

A vote on the nomination of John Bolton to serve as President Bush”s ambassador to the United Nations is scheduled for today. The New York Times reports the top Democrat on the Committee — Joseph Biden of Delaware —–is planning to ask the vote be delayed.

A series of new allegations of Bolton abusing his power at the State Department have emerged since the committee last met. Much of the two-days of hearings last week focused on allegations that Bolton threatened intelligence analysts who disagreed with him and sought to have them removed after they challenged his claims about security threats posed by various countries.

Since then, reports have emerged that — during his time at the State Department — Bolton often blocked then-Secretary of State Colin Powell and, on one occasion, his successor, Condoleezza Rice, from receiving information vital to U.S. strategies on Iran. Powell was not among a group of five Republican former secretaries of state who sent the committee a letter that endorsed Bolton”s nomination. On Monday, Powell’s former chief of staff Lawrence Wilkerson spoke out in opposition to Bolton. He told the New York Times “He is incapable of listening to people and taking into account their views. He would be an abysmal ambassador.”

During last week’s hearings, Bolton acknowledged making 10 requests, over four years, for names of U.S. officials whose conversations with foreigners were monitored by the National Security Agency.

Every Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is expected to vote against Bolton. If one Republican joins them, Bolton’s confirmation will be blocked. Republican Senator Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island has said he is uncommitted, and over the weekend, Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska said he had some reservations. But the panel’s Republican chairman, Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana, said he expects all 10 Republicans ultimately to vote in favor of the nomination.

Many people including myself weren’t happy about Trump keeping a war mongering government bureaucrat like Bolton around. We knew it would bite Trump in the ass. That cocksucker has a lot of balls to do what he is doing right now. As if we needed more proof that he doesn’t have this country’s best interest in mind.

A repeat of the McStain phenomenon.

A snake? Maybe.

I had always thought he was a walrus though.

I get he doesn't get along with Trump and they don't like each other. Still, the left completely despises him and disparages him at every turn (part of the reason I've always liked him). I can't believe he would allow himself to be so instrumental in their bullshit schemes.

I suspect that Trump says a lot of things in private that he wouldn't want repeated. He's a train of thought guy even on camera, so I suspect he's way worse off camera. I will still be shocked if Bolton betrays him for the benefit of the communists.

Politicians according to my Govt Teacher years ago are “ Liars, Cheats, & Thieves”! It’s unreal these clowns cannot keep their mouths shut & stay out of print. Most of our Military in critical areas swear to not give interviews, or write books. And most keep their words.

I'm having fun watching both sides twist themselves into knots as they frantically revise their opinion of the man.

It's unclear to me why Trump ever brought Bolton into his inner circle in the first place, considering that the men seem to have little common ground. Maybe this is an example of why hitting someone just because he pisses off the political opposition isn't necessarily a great idea.

Bolton, for his part, is demonstrating that he's a classless asshole. If nothing else, his behavior hopefully guarantees that he'll never again find employment in a position of influence and power.

Has anyone listened to any of the House Testimony live or have you been listening to the Senate trial live?

VooDoo
could not stomach house nonsense. gets my trigger finger twitching. the senate gives me some hope. dershowitz was absolutely brilliant, along with sechulow. good to have a few jews on your side for a change!

reminds me of McCain(hopefully resting not too peacefully)

Bolton testifying could be a great thing "IF" the repukian party grows a set. Think about it. They demand for Bolton's testimony which truly amounts to a he said she said shit show. Except Trump's lawyers get to bring in several witnesses to refute Bolton. Those witnesses can open doors to the corruption of the communist party and John McLames ties to the underworld of Ukraine. Now there's the bad side....do the crooked repukians want to open Pandora's box and shine the light on their own? Being that worm Lyndsey Graham was sucking MClame's dick there's no doubt he's eyeballs deep in corruption and no doubt several others.
So, are the repukians going to throw Trump under the bus by restricting his defense or will it be a free for all?

For how broke Ukraine is they sure funelled plenty of money to Washington's swamp creatures and their spawn.

"John Bolton Took Six Figures From Ukrainian Oligarch Clinton Foundation Donor"

Add some pretty penny he is still recieving to speak at MEK terror group rallies.

I am guessing with no evidence either way that he will prove to be a waist of time like the whole Russia conclusion scam . I am thinking the new york times made up the story that they even talked to him or he talked to them , just to waist more time . Let him testify and let the bidens rot in a court room saving them for last with the other diacratic socialist contestants on ''what crime did we do that we can try and pin on trump '' bring in hillary and the 2016 dnc chairman , bring in obama the dolly lama and the the guy from wiki leaks this thing could use clowns and a few midget mud wrestlers and to make it a party strippers and stripper poles . personally would force mitt to wear a donkey costume he is one after all .

If John Bolton put classified info in his book, he knew it and did it on purpose. It was put there to be leaked. So now my question would be, why?
Better yet why has he not been charged with treason, Did the publisher or all of the proof readers, press operators, hold a clearance? I think not. Fry his ass a drain the swamp a little more. He is nothing but a shill for the MIC.

boom!

Proof Mike Flynn was framed.
the obama team was dirty.
now it appears gen. flynn's own defense team had conflicts of interest and let flynn plead guilty...
despite having proof flynn was being framed, and that after bilking him for over $3 million in legal fees.
thank god for sydney powell.

True.
As he's a registered Dem and said he voted for Hillary and would for Biden.
Odds are he pulls the blue lever.

I don't doubt that.

My point is that even though he's declared himself a firearm hater and considers the 2nd Amendment to have no place in modern times, he has the strength of character to oppose efforts to judicially interpret the Amendment out of relevance for fear of the damage it will do to the Constitution as a whole.

While I don't agree with his personal politics I have to respect that integrity.

What if this Bolton leak was planned by Trump, Bolton etc knowing full well it wasn't true, and the MSM etc would completely froth at the mouth, bite even the most obvious bait?
5D chess?
possible, but it doesn't really matter because biden is dirty and the senate knows it.
the dems that vote guilty are not doing so on the facts.

I don't buy it, because it's way too 5D chess. I believe Trump when he says they didn't part well, and it was his own fault.
One thing is for sure, if Bolton does try to throw mud in the water and bolster the Demonrats case he will never work for a Republican in Washington again, and since he is reviled by the left that pretty much means he's done period.

There was tape released just this morning of lying Adam Schiff saying Bolton was a lying bastard and nothing he says is credible. In a land of liars and hypocrites Schiff stands out beyond all of them. He may be the most shameless, lying son-of-a-bitch in American history.

This whole F'n Clusterf*ck is off the rails.

There is zero benefit to having any testimony in the Senate trial. Only the snakes get anything out of it, and none of it is of any value to the Republic.

Testimony, yes; Senate trial, no.

Each of these snakes should subpoenaed; but it should be before the AG, as part of an action to indictment those being subpoenaed.

Doing any of that in the Senate trial is a complete waste of time, The Senate can't do diddly about the snakes, and they're the only ones who are worthy of any legal action.

But bread and circuses is the biggest deal in Foggy Bottom.
