And I aint even a major fan of piston AR's. Generally prefer DI simply due to the exponentially larger aftermarket available to them, along with DI's usually being a bit more accurate, all else being equal...
But the Haenel CR-series is LEGIT. Their attention to small details is pretty incredible.

The 416 is still a completely badass carbine, with major street cred among tier 1 units across the globe. But HK hates us and will only sell us a watered down civvie variant(unless you're in Europe/have access to the MR223).
Haenel doesn't hate us, and will sell us exactly what they'll sell to the Bundeswehr(minus a happy switch).

German SF got HK416 A7 made for them , and A8 is the next model for Bundeswehr , I looks like civilian MR223 A3 with slim forend , with a different pistol grip and grenade launcher rail, will still take Haenel Cr223/MK 556 over it any day , might just snap one up before they are all scraped.Oh jesus..

Sako so far has not shown any thing civilian but M23 - Ar10 clone is contracted in two versions one as SSR and another as a DMR , i would expect to see 'civilian' product showcased in both US shoot show and IWA , if its semi auto only i would expect it to be exact same gun.
Definitely going to IWA this year as finally , don't need vax proof like was needed last year and is still needed for US shot show (for travel to US)

Do it man. You wont regret it I guarantee you. Its a helluva rifle- probably the most advanced AR out there and sits at #1 as far as invincibility/indestructability like you said.
Unfortunately the 10.5 was the only one available to me(wanted the 14.5), but oh well.. I'll take what I can get when it comes to owning this sweet beast from Suhl!
The weight is balanced quite nicely unlike some of the piston AR's out there.
Thinking about possibly a B&T can for it to match(Haenel in USA, at least mine, is imported by B&T.. marked "BT-15" on the lower..)
Fun fact in German army trials they boasted 3x life cycle of any competitor albeit with barrel replacement but no other major components.
In terms of Euro cans would take Silent Steel cans over B&T any day of the week when it comes to semi auto flow trough designs , simple and servicable design that humiliates B&T when it comes to back pressure. But will see am planing a limited run of 3d printed inconel cans of my own design for semi/full auto use.*given the energy and argon costs right now i hope these drop a bit as they are a factor in metal 3d print cost
* have shot bunch of B&T on SCAR-H semi/full auto and even with their flow trough designs ,its beyond dirty inside to the stage where you can barely stick the 3rd or 4th mag into the magwell. Will take a dB less in silencing over backpressure any day.

The latest imports stats show 30% increase in imports (could be taken as 30% cost increase) and a shift from majority German to Chinese (probably supplying the same German chips) imports.
Honestly, Russia doesn't have much in way of their own chips , but who does? Think just for a second while staring at a chinese computer and waffling on chinese phone, to realize no one realy has all the chips they use everything is globalised and outsourced to somewhere.

Very accurate presentation of the situation with chips in Russia. As long as Russia can buy chips somewhere, there is no rush for Russia to build their own factories. Buying high tech products is always easier and cheaper.
