The razor GEN II is the scope to beat. There are more of them out there than any other “high end” optic.
also do not pay $2500. They have been so populated you can pick them up for $1650 all day no matter what reticle.
I have access to tangets, NF 7-35’s, S&B, and are they better optically? Yes maybe. But you only see it looking at them side by side. Are they $1000-$2000 better? Not for me when I’m still shooting in the 50% zone lol.
Everyone should start with e Gen II IMO. Good enough that you’ll never have to replace it until you think you want too. It won’t hold you back any.
this is for PRS matches anyway. Hunting or plinking might be a different story.
Link to $1650 price "no matter what recticle"?
You can also just add it to cartliberty optics. They run flash sales and will hook you up of you give them a call. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve literally sold a ton of these to guys here on the hide.
Haven’t been around here long have you.Link to $1650 price "no matter what recticle"?
Just for you there is a way better option, IOR-ValdadaAt prices up to $2,500 depending on the reticle is Vortex razor gen II still a good value in Optics. Are there other Scopes out there that are better value?
When they first came out some time ago I could totally agree with you ,they were Leaps and Bounds ahead of anything the competition had to offer in the price range. But now there's quite a few choices out there. I'm not so sure there is relevant as they used to be.

And, of course, you're not serious................I ran an IOR but the Schott glass was too clear. It gave me headaches and was too large an advantage. I run a Gen II now to handicap myself. I figure I should give Bigfoot an even playing field while I hunt for him.

like mine with the houris ret but If I did not buy it from a friend to try and save his gear from the divorce I would in no way ever pay the money need to buy my own new or used unless under 800.00 . I could get another brand scope to do the same job that's 1/2 the price and more mag with glass every bit as good .
this guy and the lance dark horse are a couple of our finer new members.
Total turds in the pool.
Good is good. Performance for price still rules. Show me what else in the sub-$1700 range outperforms it or is a “better deal”.When they first came out some time ago I could totally agree with you ,they were Leaps and Bounds ahead of anything the competition had to offer in the price range. He literally has no other thing to talk about and is looking for attention. When you ask the same question every week, do you expect a different answer?
Place a few IOR and a few Vortex G2 on a PRS prize table and see which ones get taken first. Guarantee it’s the Vortex scopes. There’s a reason for that.Still leaps and bounds better than anything made by IOR.....
like mine with a the Horus h59 reticle , but If I did not buy it from a friend to try and save some of his gear from the divorce I would in no way ever pay the money need to buy my own new or used unless under 800.00 . sorry have to post the price they want for the thing now is just nuts . I have never done enough drugs to make me think that was a good price lol

I'm not exactly sure what all this talk about IOR is I'm asking a serious question. Also I do know the difference between Street and retail price ( retail with h59 reticle is $3,400 for a Gen 2) and at $1,700 through Liberty Optics it's a great deal there is no doubt about that. But my price for a Nightforce atacr 25 power is about $500 more than Liberty Optics price on the Razor I do realize that Vortex is still King of the Hill with the Razor HD because it's value and not because it's the best scope out there ,but with the introduction of new companies such as a Athlon,Tract and others is it still the best value for the buck? I'm not saying the razor isn't a good scope I really like them ( I own one by the way ). But Two or three years back if I told you there was a scope company called Zero Compromise that would make a scope as good as a Tangent Theta for a lot less money would you have believed that?
I'm just trying to get some opinions and some different points of view on new scopes that may not be on my radar as of yet.
You make a point about my pricing on Nightforce .But you should have continued highlighting my statement ( I do realize that Vortex is still King of the Hill with the Razor HD because it's value and not because it's the best scope)Your price on an ATACR and the price everyone else can get them for might be two different things so that will be up to you what it is worth. The price given for the Razor II is the price everyone can get them for.
And you answered your own question in the second bold statement.

This discussion is about value. We have to agree that while the Razor is a nice scope - its not the bets scope out there. Its been a great scope because there was nothing in its price range that could touch it, but now with other scope manufactures stepping up there game is it still the best scope VALUE there ?
I still say it is but I'm looking for other opinions.
Uh huhHaven’t been around here long have you.
just look in the for sale section.
So what you're telling me is if you owned let's say an Theta tangent or maybe a zero compromise you'll be more than willing to trade it for a razor? That part is your opinion and opinions aren't facts so you are just looking for what people think. You can find people who think the earth is flat. Does it make it true? I showed you a fact of what PRS shooters are using this year and if there were better scopes out then wouldn't they be used?
Keep fishing though. I am sure someone will give you an opinion you like.
if i had a free ZCO/TT i would very likely trade it for TWO razor gen 2s because that's the price point comparisonSo what you're telling me is if you owned let's say an Theta tangent or maybe a zero compromise you'll be more than willing to trade it for a razor?
It seems like there are a bunch of angry people on this site I'm not trying to be confrontational.

You guys started this conversation with a confrontation on your mind. I wish you would just not even reply if you have nothing constructive to say.if i had a free ZCO/TT i would very likely trade it for TWO razor gen 2s because that's the price point comparison
If you find a question stupid why do you answer them? Not angry but when you ask the same thing it gets old.
And now you are just asking stupid questions about scopes that are twice the price. Your original posts was about similar optics. Stop changing the narrative. And so you know I used to run S&B 5-25s and actually like the Razor II much better.
not a single post i made was confrontationalYou guys started this conversation with a confrontation on your mind. I wish you would just not even reply if you have nothing constructive to say.
I really don't understand your answers. I started this Thread asking a legitimate question. Your cronies are the ones that act unprofessional and you seem to be the worst of the bunch. Again nothing I have said is offencive I just don't understand you guys your so close minded It's almost a joke.Dude, you burned your bridge playing games in that other thread, hence the responses.
you thought you were being funny, but instead, you were being an Asshole and nobody wants to deal with you, you took it too far, should have made your joke and moved on, but you kept going,
which is why I threw you on discouraged and thought you left the site in a huff, remember canceled support, got pissy for being called out on it, and was supposed to have left like a big boi
You won't be taken seriously again in this context by evidence of the responses, so dont' act surprised, people are not angry on here, they just dont' like the games you played and don't like you, there is a difference
What constructive criticism did you make other than pointing out faults in my question and thoughts?not a single post i made was confrontational
' Constructive criticism is a helpful way of giving feedback that provides specific, actionable suggestions. Rather than providing general advice, constructive criticism gives specific recommendations on how to make positive improvements. Constructive criticism is clear, to the point and easy to put into action 'What constructive criticism did you make other than pointing out faults in my question and thoughts?

I hear the IOR guys give out ZJs to peddle their garbageWell, Val is the only guy handing out free hand jobs for buying one of his girthy tubes.... Sounds like a "best value" proposition to me.
I really don't understand your answers....
