Is this true about Peltor customer service? Update: THEY'RE BAAAAAAACK

Mailed it in yesterday as well as wrote a detailed reply to the rep who I initially spoke with as well as Terri (who was mentioned a few times here as well as others had IM'd me about). When I looked at the initial email from the rep with mailing instructions, Terri was already copied, so this made it easy to include her as she already was.

Sent an email outlining the issues, where I got the unit, how it was BNIB and came in the exact same box and packaging as all of my other units. Explained how I now understand their 'authorized vendor' policy, but how that shouldn't even remotely apply to these as they are again, BNIB, and have somewhere around an hour on them; this defect isn't something that I did to it, or something that happend while sitting in its box at 'unapproved vendor #28759s' warehouse.

I give it a 50/50 at this point simply because other than the generic process so far without anyone really being involved yet, I can see how they can technically just tell me tough shit. But again, the other 50% comes from the CS some here have received specifically from Terri as well as the obvious example here of this being a defect on a new item.

We shall see.

I’m interested in the result, if for no reason other than curiosity and that, well, I can never rule out buying something if there’s a seriously perceived need and the available funds to do so.

BNIB doesn't matter if not from an authorized dealer, but I hope they hook you up.

Let's see what happens first. Its not the end of the world, I just think the whole warranty thing is kind of spineless garbage. I almost got the impression the CS guy was just checking all the boxes and NEXT! The warranty page on their site then made me go WTF is this lol

Plus I'm one of the 11 people on earth that doesn't have facebook or any of that shit.
Make that 12 people..
