There were some, as far as I know, who were actually violent and not just casually strolling through the capital and got pinched. I think he wanted to actually look into those that were violent. Who knows if they are all even conservatives who got caught up in this bull shit or they are antifa or some other rogue group.
The only thing better would have been him personally going to the DC jail, and said let everyone out. Everyone. Not just J6ers.
Statistically, on average, there is a better chance than not that everyone in there is a victim of an unfair prosecution in some way. Would a guilty person go free? Absolutely. But that is how our system works. That 100 guilty go free to prevent 1 from being unfairly persecuted.

Considering what they are doing with the illegals that are committing serious crimes in New York. That's not a bad idea. Some will take the opportunity and straighten out. The others will be back soon
Had he not done this on day one, then any respect I have for the guy would have been gone. If he does nothing else while in office, this action alone will earn my respect! AWESOME!!!!!

They can talk all they want about "violet assaults" against police, but I have watched police assault and kill innocent people for years, and I watched lefties assault cops for two summers in fiery, but mostly peaceful protest......BLM! These people were protesting what they thought were injustice in our country, nothing more. The only crime I saw that day was a young girl shot in the face and killed.

Remember when the politicians in Sri Lanka withheld fertilizer from the farmers and starvation reared its ugly head? They entered the posh housing development where politicians lived and burned it down. One tried to drive over them with his car. They pulled him out and killed him on the spot. Lefties are often unaware of the consequences of staying arrogant too long.
Film it and run it next to him working at McDonalds and driving the garbage truck. That would be totally awesome and send the left into meltdown mode for sure.

The lowly enlisted guards in WW2 concentration and POW camps were not even immune from war crimes prosecutions.
