JP LRP 07 and LRP 07H

Looking at the JP LRP rifles, in .308 with 18" barrel I see no differences other than the stock (one offering) and optional compensator.
I see the LRP has other options not offered on the H but the H is pretty much a good target package.

Am I missing any other difference?

Would I be correct in assuming any option offered in the non H I can add on my own to a H model?

The LRP-07H is a designated model/package designed for more of a "mass production" versus the LRP-07 where you can set it up anyway you want it. From what I was told, it is supposed to be a field/hunting type setup.

Give JP a call about changing things around, but they'll probably tell you to get a regular LRP-07 and customize what you want.

Just go on to rifle builder on there site and make it the way you want it. I just did mine. There 3 months out right now

The LRP-07H rifle has the military dustcover upper, black Teflon barrel upgrade, sling, JP scope mount, Magpul MIAD grip, and a few other goodies included for a package price. If I got that model I would only need to add one of the heat sinks and that would be sweet all-around rifle for me.

Do not even think about it, GET IT. If you have been around these forums for any length of time or if you have done any research you will see there is not 1 person who does not love their JP. I did 2 years worth of research before I bought my LRP-07 and had it narrowed down to JP, Gap, and Larue. The main reason I went with JP was that I could not find one single complaint, every person who had a JP loved it and said there Quality and customer service were the best in the business. Now that is all argumentative depending on who you talk to but when it comes to competition they are the best. Now there was this stupid saying going around about how a competition gun would not be any good in combat, well think about that for minute. In competition you want a gun that goes bang every time you pull the trigger and you also want to hit whatever you are aiming at. Sounds like a good combat rifle to me or hunting rifle too.

After much thoughtful research and debate I pulled the trigger on a JP PSC-12 build this morning. I have gotten to play with numerous precision Semi-auto .308s and I finally decided to go with JP. I don't think that I will be disappointed. Everyone I spoke with or e-mailed at JP went out of their way to answer my questions and provided informative answers. Now the wait begins.

Don't even worry about the wait time, JP gets their rifles out fast. Most people get them before their quoted time, and yes their customer service is top notch even after you buy your rifle.

I bought my first JP a 223 gas gun in 2002. To this day it is still my favorite ar15.
