Suppressors Just my luck...and everyone else’s it seems...

What a joke that whole system was. It would have been different if they pulled the individuals from the bottom of the stack or focused on the applications with errors. Pulling from the top of the stack to make their stats look better was complete B.S.

Lets not kid ourselves. The way im interpreting it is they got their average wait times where they want them and are now covering their ass to make everyone wait again. If anyone thinks they ACTUALLY did something to help us out you are kidding yourself. If they truely wanted to they'd have the same system as form 1 efile.

They already have at least half the template and going by the low number of 180,000 suppressor purchases a year at $200 they are pulling $32 million a year. Bullshit they couldn't have gotten it running by now.

You'd think they would be more motivated to get the eform up on the form 4s just for the extra revenue they'd bring in from the increased number of transfers. I bet the number of applications would explode.

How in the fuck can this guy say with a straight face that "the FBI background check causes the worst bottlenecks in the NFA approval process". What about the 11+ months sitting in a box waiting to be reviewed by the ATF. A piss poor written article.

I know id buy more knowing itd come before i can get someone pregnant, have the kid and be home before it clears. Shit.

Hell... even increasing suppressor purchases by only 10,000 a year they pull an extra 2mil for less work on their end. Youd make back your investment AND get profit in one year of operation. In my world you don't even bring that decision to the CEO, you do it before getting yelled at for wasting time.

Dare i say they could even lower the tax stamp cost at that point? What other commodities get an arbitrary flat tax ON TOP of regular taxes? For a 22 suppressor you are getting taxed 50-60% on a purchase. 20% +other taxes for your typical suppressors.

Hey, Don't forget to Bitch about the Redundancy . You are the same person, same ID. and fingerprints for every single application . If they actually wanted to streamline (which they don't) . Things would be actually get efficient and logical, .. which is the exact opposite of what Fed. Government is . Logically you would think ?, after your wait and approval of item, it should go quicker ..but NO, It's just the typical Federal Gov. Redundancy with every single purchase being an individual hurtle and approval wait you must crawl over.

LIKE, WTF ? , Our fucking government just LOVES and LIVES For giving out there personal endorsed approval ID for everything you do or plan to do . You can get a Fed. Gov. approved issued ID. for, Travel Passport , TWIC card , DHS 'Real ID.' ,active CIC ID, along with Ret. and dependents ID's , DOT/FFA private and commercial ID's ,SSA # IDcard, and the list just goes on . Government is the ultimate control freak with OCD for handing out ID, especially if your employed by them.
Soooo, Streamline, Easy and logical would be, after your 1st BATF background and paperwork submission and wait approval. if you would just be issued to you, an approved ID. card for Tax Stamp item purchases . with say a 5-year renewal . You present your BATF approved ID. along with another ID with picture ( like state DL. ) + ( pay your 200-$ fee) at the place of purchase or shop that item is sent over to for your pickup .
.

Does anything the goverment touches ever not become a giant steaming pile of sh_t , ever I would have found it strange if It ran smoothly without problems .
