Hi all. Recently I picked up my 2nd K16i with SM1 reticle. Upon mounting the optic I noticed the donut kind is a but faded. Another strange symptom is the horizontal lines that stretch from the sides of the eye box to the donut reflect light and become shiny.

My other K16i doesn't do this, is this just a generation thing or should I send this to Kahles? Hopefully this thing isn't Chinese lol.

Thanks!

Did you just buy it new?

How old is your previous one you're comparing it to?

Having had a couple them, I really doubt it is a difference in generations. I'm no expert but sounds like there might be a problem with it. The good news is, Kahles will take care of you. I had to send one of mine in to repair the illumination and it came back with new caps and looking like a new scope.

Im the 2nd owner, for a moment I thought this would be a Chinese knockoff but everything else is legit about it including the glass. It's newer than the one I had previously by about 2 years. Good to know their CS is superb, I'll probably end up shipping it off, thanks!

It can happen. I got a Tangent Theta from a guy on here and it turns out it wouldn't track. I was kind of annoyed but Armament Technologies took care of it real quick. They rebuilt all the internals with updated parts and I had it back in about 2 weeks.
