I found myself wanting a new carry gun, and had found a beautiful Smith and Wesson 640-1 Centennial in 357/38 Special on GunBroker. I bid, and won. Called the guy up, gave him my payment info, and he told me he would call me back with the shipping info. All sounded like it was going to plan until last night around 1600 as I was driving home with the lady he called me.
Seems that one of the guys workers at the shop had taken the same revolver to a local gun show and sold it and there was a miscommunication. The gentleman was EXTREMELY apologetic and felt really bad for what had happened and refunded the money immediately. He offered to find me the same exact pistol somehow, and give me a screaming deal on it, or if I saw something else on his auctions to let him know and he would make me a deal.
When I finally got home and got onto GunBroker again, I started looking for another Smith until I decided to look at his other items for sale and came across a 2007 Sig 229R Elite Two-Tone. I have had a 229 before and it was one of the most accurate 9mm's I have ever shot, so I gave him a call back and he 100% stuck to his word and made me a deal on the Sig I couldn't turn down.
Anyone looking for an awesome guy to deal with in Texas or on GunBroker I can 100% recommend Dan at Texas Firearm Sales.
