Re: Aimpoint Micro T-1 on a MK14

Great looking setup. I'm currently trying to sell my M1a scout in Sage EBR, but I'm tempted to keep it.

How did it shoot with the T-1 with 4 MOA dot? did the dot cover up most of the target?

Re: Aimpoint Micro T-1 on a MK14

I shot this set-up @ 100 yards and it was simple point, shoot, hit and repeat.
The dot is actually a little smaller than 4 MOA, no worries because this particular rifle is set-up for hits inside 350 yards

I have reconfigured my set-up just a bit and I will post the details with new pictures very soon.

Until then... here is a teaser pic:

My lean, mean Walter Mitty MK14 is leaner today than it was yesterday...

I increased the sight radius by a full two inches and reduced weight by removing both side rails.
The Scout light is now at the 6 o'clock position so as not to illuminate the front sight at night.
The Micro T-1 now has an Aimpoint throw lever to make R&R of the optic much easier.
The M14 Vortex now has the taller SAI front sight that is correct for the 18.0" barrel.

Unloaded weight as pictured: 10 lbs. 9.6 Oz.

I can't say because this one was in a SAGE EBR from day one, but I can tell you that the SAGE EBR
typically reduces group size by 1/2 of what it was when the rifle sat in a wood or synthetic stock.
