I have a friend who has a LAW M704 action he wanted to sell to me. It’s never been mounted, he had plans to build a rifle with it but they fell apart. Has anyone had experience with these actions, and how do they stack up to the main brands like Bighorn, Defiance, Stiller etc. I can’t find much on forums about them. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you mind posting/sending me some pictures of yours? I’d like to see how it looks compared to his to maybe see if the styling changed to show if they made any changes in the machining of the action. How long ago did you purchase yours?
I had a LAW rifle (on that action) and had problems. They replaced the bolt and barrel and I sold it before I opened the box after repairs. I would look at an alternative (Defiance CRF in particular to match features). I like the concept but don't have faith in their abilities to machine it.
I had really bad bolt lift about every 3-5th cycle of the bolt, trigger wouldn't engage correctly all the time, horrible accuracy (like 8-9" at 100...even my sub 6lb setup is a 1.5" rifle at 100). I don't recall what the overall issue was when sent back in, but it came back with a new trigger, complete bolt, and barrel for sure. I don't remember if the action was the worked on or left alone to be honest. Stock was the same as there was a scratch I had made that came back with it. I like the concept, but decided Kimber was a better fit for a lightweight CRF for me. Also, PTG has some Stillers that go for like 600 bucks with bolt sometimes if you want an custom action for this build and money is tight.
Anyone have any updates on LAW? I can’t find their website anymore. Anyone know where you can get a rifle built with an m704 action?
I had one for 5 mins in my possession, it was a major let down. The fit and finish was horrible. It was a major disappointment. The cerakote looked like spray paint, it was caked in the trigger housing so i couldn't even drop a trigger in.

I've got an APR version. I don't have anything bad to say about it, but nothing great either. APR did drop the action as their "house" action, and is now building on the tenacity.
If I was doing it again, I'd build on an origin for a lower cost CRF, or a CRF defiance for a premium action.

Any idea if you can do a three position safety on the big horn arms actions? I want to be able to lock the bolt.
