From what I understand he didn't make a dime off of it. He donated his share of the proceeds from the book to the families of fallen soldiers and to help veterans. It's still a good book and I recommend buying it.

Yeah, the guy was just really a good dude, always just helping vets, that was all he did and what he died doing. He was on that shit show "Sons of Guns" where he signed an HK rifle for a charity auction for vets (Will signed his name "to increase the value more"). Just by his demeanor you could tell he was "that kind of guy". A true loss.
There may be a fund somewhere, but if you find one I'd make sure it wasn't a scam.
The family will also be cashing in his VGLI, which I'm pretty sure he would have maxed out.
