Saw a thread earlier today where someone mentioned they felt like many custom actions these days are running lighter springs for a softer bolt lift.
I ended up dropping a Premier bolt into my B14 HMR because I had an older one and was cratering primers on moderate loads because the original firing pin hole was too big. I didn’t wanna wait for a bushing job, and the Premiers were on the shelf and fixed my problem, plus they bring toolless takedown to the table which I vastly prefer.
But, I feel like I immediately noticed a much stiffer bolt lift, so bad it sometimes even moves my bipod cant (Atlas with podlok cranked down pretty stiff).
Has anyone heard of an aftermarket spring to lighten up the B14 Premier bolt lift while still providing reliable and consistent ignition?
