Load Development Question

I have brand new Proof research 6.5CM barrel installed.
My Question is do i start doing load development after i shoot 10 or 20 rounds down the tube or shoot 50 or 100 than due true load development where barrel settles down? Reason i ask as we all know barrel will speed up after 100 rounds or soo and im wondering will that affect my grouping size. If rifle shoot lets say 2750FPS and grouping is 5 rounds .5 of an inch at 100 yards with brand new barrel. After 100 rounds or 150 barrel speeds up to lets say 2800fps with same powder charge, Will my group also open up because barrel gained extra 50FPS or that will not have effect on my group size? will it remain same accuracy of .5 or groups will open up. Im aware POI will change which is okay but will it affect my grouping accuracy thats my concern. Thank you any info is appreciate.

I haven’t noticed a big gain in MV after 125rds from my Proof barrels like the Kriegers, Brux, Bartlien, etc.
Yes you can develop load now, and YES when it speeds up your group size will change, but you should have a good idea of “node” you need to be in by then.

I would maybe still do load development now. If or when your barrel speeds up, back down your charge until you get to the MV you were initially at.

I would get 100 pieces of brand new brass and load them with a known load to break in the barrel and form your brass to your chamber before you start load development.

Interesting points all of you making. Bottom line group size will change after barrel apeeds up and i would have to readjust my load. Thank you guys for your input much appreciated!

I run a quick ladder now at the start so that my first 100 rounds through the barrel aren’t just complete crap and then I’ll start development in earnest. The quick ladder gives you a little bit of info where you would otherwise have none.
