    Does it exist?
Something similar to the vortex fury 5000 ab… I had a pair and wasn’t crazy about their app.

I’d like as few pieces of gear if possible. Having the ability to range and get my dope quickly is lore important than magnified optics… so if a kestrel and range finder is best bet, so be it.

Just seeing if there’s any competitors for the fury 5000

Does it have to be Applied Ballistics?
We use the Revic Acura BLR10b 10x40, checked every box when I got off the idea I had to have AB in everything. Super fast readings out to 2800+ yards, will read thru fog and rain, easiest system to true your dope profiles, and really good glass. The Sigs wouldn't give a reading thru the lightest fog or mist, and the glass was shit.
Use a Kestrel for a quick wind check.

These are the two you want to look at:
Sig Sauer KILO10K-ABS HD GEN II 10x42

    VECTRONIX VECTOR X Rangefinding Binocular

It appears that the sig's have a lifetime warranty and the Vectronix do not.

Any reason to get one over the other?
Those range enhancers seem to be quite are to obtain for some reason…fyi

There’s a good list of issues on the Vectronix somewhere on this forum, stuff that I hadn’t seen mentioned other places/discussions. I’ll see if I can dig it up.

This is a good link for details that are not always favorable to the Vectronix:

Random stuff. I might add to this later as I find things. I gotta run.
    1. Focus wheel lash (link 1, 2, 3)
    2. Seems common for the laser alignment to be slightly off and there’s no way to adjust it. Sig’s are adjustable.
    3. Etched reticles can distract in hunting environments. Sig’s reticle is electronic and disappears.
    4. Red display can overwhelm reticle in dim light, making it impossible or hard to range until illumination cycles off
    5. Sig’s may (or may not) show more relevant data most shooters want on the first “screen” without having to press a button to go to the next screen. May. Do some research, I haven’t the time right now. Retracted. I believe I read this about a pair of Leicas in a Vector X review and got the info mixed up.
    6. 2-second delay in the startup of the HUD from sleep (unit is on, no input for x secs, unit goes to sleep, 2secs to wake it up)
    7. Lase button might be hard to find with gloves on (same with Sig)
    Other evals worth noting:

    Thanks for the info guys.
Before I pull the trigger on the sig's....... The cheap o in me has to ask...

Are they $1500 better than the vortex fury 5000 AB?

If you’re going to spend the coin, you really need to reconsider your choice. There is no way that I would pay that much for a SIG
