I am looking for someone to make a couple of shim washers for me. My new CZ455 bolt handle has increased my headspace. The washer will go between the handle and the bolt body to restore the original headspace (which produced smaller groups).

Here are the dims:
0.700" OD
0.612" ID
(1) 0.002" thick
(1) 0.002" thick

I think either bronze or steel will work.

This is the closest thing I have found so far:

@ .002", whatever material the shims are made of will probably shred in short order. Not sure of the history, but you are probably better off having a good smith pull the barrel and take .002" off the trunion shoulder and breech face. That would be correcting the problem where it needed it and was most justified

If you have a hand drill some super glue and a suitable socket you can use a dremel grinder wheel to make a shim from .002 shim stock if you're patient and fit-check frequently..

Or I'd say it's a .22 rimfire, don't clean it as much the .002 head space will fill up with residue. I'd be surprised .002" difference in headspace makes a significant difference in group size too, but I don't monkey much with rimfire. My 10/22 does about an inch at 100yds and I thought that was good enough.

I agree. The acceptable spread is like 7-8 thou. I understand what he is trying to do. He wants to push the bolt forward 2 thou. Not sure how he came up with that number.
