Daisy LOVES the snow. Can't get her out of it. She's also a snow sponge. Whole house is wet after she comes in.
My guys do that but are white...good luck trying to follow them in the snow at dusk...

That's not weird, that's Sniper pedigree all the way.
He has been slowly filling out. He is still being fostered by my track maintenance crew (more like he has been fostering that bunch). Somewhat actively looking for a good home for him, but he gets lots of attention and affection where he is at.
A steady diet of ground beef, chicken or turkey with rice, mixed with good dry food has added 35 lbs to him. About 50 more to go. Still favors the right rear leg pretty hard but the vet says most likely atrophy as xrays show nothing abnormal. Great rescue vet locally has seen him 3 times now, done xrays with sedation and given us NSAIDs and pain meds and only taken $95 for the work. He still has ear infections which we are treating. Fungal in the left and bacterial in the right.
Energy is 1000x what it was when he found us.
When he first showed up, he was so skinny I thought he was a dane ... right up until he turned his head toward you. That melon of his is the size of a basketball.

The hazelnut orchard behind the house has been taken over by a colony of California Digger Squirrels in the last 4 years. Those bastards are fierce fighters compared to the Belding's and Silver Greys which used to dominate the orchard. You don't see any Belding's or Silver Greys roaming on the CA Digger's turf any more. The last two years I've shot 531, they've just started to graze and I've shot 18 the last two days. They're picking on the wrong guys dog, it's game time.
I built this Ruger RPR, in .17M2 with a sleeved aluminum barrel it's light and well balanced with the suppressor. Typical ranges are 65-120yds.

My 7yr old lab Kimber. She is spoiled rotten around the house and holds her own in the field. I wore her out on the last weekend of pheasant and quail season in January. Was a spotty day and then we got 7 roosters out of the last spot. She didn't get out of the truck for over an hour after we got home. Could hardly move after her bath.

I had a friend with a Belgian Malinois. He lived to be 14 years old. That was the most spastic dog, I've ever been around. He was super smart and needed lots of exercise. He could get very aggressive, if not worked, regularly.
My best friend has had a difficult time lately.

17 months just starting to calm down, been acting like a real animal until recently.
They're the dumbest, smart dogs I've ever been around. Mine can find a car key in a 2 acre yard one minute, then walk into a wall the next ?
She does require a ton of exercise every day.
This is the Wife’s new French Bulldog. He is a feisty little shit.
Pinch collar works amazing on a pup like that. Had my first lab break a choke collar, been using the pinch collar ever since.
My girl, going on 4 years old in 2 weeks. The temperament of these pittie breeds is absolutely incredible, especially when properly trained and acclimated.
This is a picture of Bailey when we brought him home after being rescued.
He went home for good today after a long bout with an unknown illness that caused him to go from 82lbs, down to 57lbs. He just couldn't hold anything down. He would eat and then vomit a few hours later. The food was undigested.
I will miss him. Since my retirement, we have been together 24/7. He was my best buddy.

That sucks! I love dogs more than most people....i feel for you. I know you cant replace a dog, but a new one sure fills the void you feel! Sorry to hear about your friend!
That is very good news. Glad to see you could help this dog when he was in dire need. I'd like to thank you for your devotion.
Best part is he will be coming by in the truck every so often. We got visitation!

It's a Bernedoodle. A cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. This is known as a F1 generation. He will be about 50-70lbs. If his adult coat comes in like a poodle, he won't shed, if it comes in like the Mountain Dog, he'll shed a wee bit.

This is my bud Kaiser, from post 527 on the previous page. When he gets a good hit on the sleeve, he drops my 6'1 240lb ass strait down to my knees. It feels like a tourniquet, even through the sleeve. He has a helluva side-to-side death shake. The problem is, he seems to prefer aiming for the elbow, where the padding is thinnest!

Since he is a mix I think that Rags or Patches would fit with his colorization.
There's a goat rancher just north of Paisley, OR that has 500+ head at peak times, he has 5 Pyrenees that guard his herd from a stout local population of Mountain Lions and Coyotes. To the best of my knowledge he's never lost a goat to a predator.
Had to put my little buddy down today. I am so heartbroken. He was my favorite little asshole.
