To push myself. That and the endorphin rush brings you to a high unobtainable by anything less then hardcore drug use. Since I'm against drugs and want to see where the edge is for myself then I have to ask why not? I have things I wish to prove to myself and every time I do it I gain more and more confidence in myself. Everyone wants to be good at something and for me it's knowing that I can drill a bad guy in the chest at 150 yards under fire with a carbine even though I'm not a soldier or police officer and knowing that when I have to face pain and anguish that I can man up and get er done. That's why I choose to be a training junkie and also seek out things that push my body to the edge. I don't have any real reason why these 2 things are so important to me but I didn't choose them, they chose me. I may not be a master at them yet but someday I hope to be. Even then I'll always try to improve them further.

If there is no such thing as normal and abnormal, how can there be a gray area in-between? What is it between if neither exists?

Oh, I haven't watched your review of SH, BTW, but I did glance at your "intro" a while back. I've got two suggestions for you:

1) Learn the difference between a video and a podcast. If there is nothing visual about your content then you've selected the wrong medium with youtube.

2) Write a bloody script so you don't just sit there going "uhhh... yeah... uhhh..." 50% of the time. That's actually WORSE than dead-air.

I would suggest that you actually have something meaningful, or at least witty, to say before embarking on broadcasting your thoughts to the world but that clearly isn't going to happen.

You sure your ready for it? You might hurt yourself. They have this thing called recoil. It can be quite painful for a beginner if your not careful. There also very loud.

Muzzle report is not an issue for me because I have built in hearing protection. Recoil on the other hand doesn't bother me too much unless it's an extended shooting session. Case in point was my .338RUM I used to have. Nice flat shooter and zeroed @ 200, but by the end of the day I'd be flinching and my shoulder would be hanging on by a single tendon. And seeing as I don't reload, I was spending over 50 bucks just for 20 rds.
