As for businesses going under, most of the ones I've seen here in the DC area were ones that were in trouble already. And who to say if COVID didn't happen, they would have been alright anyway? Business 101 is don't overextend and be ready for when the economy takes a hit. I'm almost 50 and I've lost count on how many recessions and other hits to the economy we've had in our life time. And you need to be ready for when since they are hard to predict. If you cannot handle a few weeks then how are you supposed to survive a recession that can take a year or more to recover from???
