Re: MC MILLAN FAILURE TO REPLY!

Dick Davis (McM's General Manager and all-around good guy) is a regular poster on this forum. Here is a link to his profile here on the Hide...send him a PM and see if that gets answered.

Also, as Drake said...pick up the phone and call them! I know that N. Ireland to the US isn't a "cheap" phone call, but it is the best way to communicate despite e-mail being vastly cheaper and "easier." While you have them on the phone...if the stock will work for your purposes (which it should), go ahead and place your order. All done in one call.

Good luck and God speed!

The McMillan SSG P2 is a VAST improvement over the basic stock. I have used the McM SSG P2 stock along with an SSG PIIK and it felt great for me with addt'l butt spacers and a little more than 1/4" height adjustment up on the comb. The ergos are perfect and much better than the factory stock. It is also, as you'd expect from McM, a tough stronger/better made than the factory OEM stock.

Re: MC MILLAN FAILURE TO REPLY!

McM did have some of these stocks available and ready to roll earlier this year for a great price of around $725 or so. I don't know if that is still the case or if they have sold out of the ones that were on the "Specials" page. If they don't have them...you are looking at a good long wait and a price, without shipping, of around $825 USD or so.

I also don't know if there are ITAR implications on this stock or not, but you may need to talk to them about whether they can ship directly to you in the UK without an export permit, etc. You may see if there is anyone "in country" that is a McM dealer or can assist you with getting your stock. Anyway...this is all hypothetical anyway...McM should be able to answer all of these questions for you when you get them on the phone.

Again...good luck to you, sir.

HOLY S#IT!! That is over $1200 USD approx. (not quite sure what the exhange rate is lately) which is at least $400 more than the price you should be able to buy direct from McM. If that's what you want...sounds like direct from McM is the way to go if you can get a deal worked out.

Not that I can think of. You might try contacting Manners Composite Stocks (also US-based) and see if they can offer you one of their T2A stocks (I suggest the T2A b/c is roughly mirrors the offering from McM in terms of function/features) inletted for the Steyr.

Re: MC MILLAN FAILURE TO REPLY!

Does that 1200 dollar price on the stock come with a reach around or is it just plain from behind with no lube. I think that is a little much.

Re: MC MILLAN FAILURE TO REPLY!

I dont know , but it may well cost 300-400 to ship a stock with insurance to you . I often spend 50-100.00 shipping guns/ stocks just in the conus.
Also keep in mind that with all the scams now days emails from other countries look fishy . Give Mcm a call they are good folks .

Re: MC MILLAN FAILURE TO REPLY!

If you're going to be making overseas calls often... Download SKYPE, buy $20 credit and use your computer. That's BY FAR the most effective way to talk international (internet speed and headphone/mic setup permitting).

It might be 3 cents per minute to a Land line telephone!

Re: MC MILLAN FAILURE TO REPLY!

+1 on the Skype.

I work in a troubleshooting role that takes me 'round the globe. Since Christmas; I've been in Stavanger,Norway; Perth,Australia; Istanbul, Turkey and now Navegantes, Brazil.

Skype is 2.1 cents/min for calling from your PC to a landline. I call home three or four times a week, Mom&Dad & Wifey, and a $25 charge lasts about 3 months.

Good luck on the stock issue.

Cheers,
Breeze

Whose coat is this jacket anyway....er something like that.

Re: MC MILLAN FAILURE TO REPLY!

Hi i have a SSG PII and a friend has the SSG 69 military model yes the military model will fit into the PII stock without any issue but not the other way around.

So if you were to order the stock you will be fine.
