RJB, I would like to see anything that you have Machined. Your Flute machine looks like the Rope twister that my Grand Father made from a old spud digger in 1914. It did work.

You really are irrelevant.

Run for the money? Let's see some pics of what you do there hot rod.
I think we've all had about enough of you. You remind me of a fly that doesn't get the hint when the swatter comes out.
A bedding job?
A stock inlet?
Samples of threadwork?
Barrel fluting?
Bolt Fluting?
Ok, an easy one, ceracoat?
Paintwork?
Let's see your best piece.
How many rifles you built?
Waiting??? I want to see um ace.
You run your cake hole challenging people on subject matters that clearly you know little about with taunts that are juvenile at best. Then when your pecker gets smacked you start pinging questions like "where'd you buy that cutter from Chad?"
Run for money? Dave Tooley has my deepest respect and he'd eat your ass Junior. I bet he at least knows when to shut the coolant off and let a tool eat. . .
So again, Put your $ where your mouth is. Let's see it.
What you don't get is really simple for everyone else to see:
Its not beating a chest. Its MARKETING scooter. Its promotion of products and services as I'm engaged in this trade to make a profit so that my business can flourish and support my family and its employees. Using your opinion as a barometer I guess Pepsi is chest beating when the blind folds go on and they do a taste challenge.
People want winners. Do you want a pilot that says "hope I can do this" or the pilot that says, "bring it!"
How bout a heart surgeon? "hope this works" as he's about to cut open your grandfather for a Triple Bipass? I don't think so.
SO, Let's see JUST how fast your alleged money really is. Show us, educate us, humble us. (me especially since I'm the narcissist)
C.
You are a funny bastard RJB, haha.
you have some lame photos. What is the runout on the mounted can?
how did you test your work for safety and concentricity?
That's one of the beautiful things about machining. If you know what you're doing you don't need to check your work.
There is zero runout. I didn't check it. That's one of the beautiful things about machining. If you know what you're doing you don't need to check your work.
why test fire a rifle before it goes out the door, thats silly, i'm with you RJB. Why double check your work, that's time consuming, I'm with you here as well. Pure AWSOME this is
Every single gun that leaves my shop is test fired and function tested prior to delivery. Every 1st cartridge is cataloged w/date and S/N.
I have boxes of the stuff here.
Some of us do do this.
I'm generally petty & not serious but I do tend to get sarcastic at times though.
That's one of the beautiful things about machining. If you know what you're doing you don't need to check your work.
Mr Bryant, you prob find humor in a lot of things you don't understand.
Thanks p&p! Mr Bryant, you prob find humor in a lot of things you don't understand. My question had nothing to do with how to cut threads. As I've stated before. you could teach a monkey to rebarrel a rifle. My question was merely about the function of the machine.
Sure, I come off as a pompous ass. My tolerance for stupidity is very low. I never claimed to be superior in knowledge and hardly consider anything I've posted bragging. Most of my rhetoric is simply defending myself from attacks like the one Mr Dixon threw at me that started this mess. Now if you want to see some bragging, check out some of Chad's posts.
My point is Chad is a computer programmer and rifle assembler. Oh, and he's a pretty good painter to boot. He could die tomorrow and anyone that has the slightest clue how to set up a bbl, action or stock in a lathe or mill and pick up where left off. Hardly gunsmithing in my opinion.
Sincerely, Insecure in Cedar Park;-)
This has been my favorite thread of the week, by far. Not because of any knowledge I've gained...no, no, not at all...but for the entertainment value.
It's like a train wreck, in slo-mo, that won't stop, and I cannot tear myself away, even though I know it's probably wrong...and I should move on (nothing to see here), but it won't stop, and I can't stop looking...
Chad, I'm done with the rat race.
20$ says this asshat will be back. Any takers?
20$ says this asshat will be back. Any takers?
Try reading in context. I'm semi retarded and lovin' it.
KYS, Try to comprehend that anyone worth their salt that does this knows that the damned thing will fire and extract when it is done right.
20$ says this asshat will be back. Any takers?

Yep, try telling that to a customer that gets a rifle that won't perform after they spend their hard earned cash on it. No one is above a faulty part or a mistake on the machining. There isn't a person in the world that can tell me they run a lathe or mill with 100% success rate. That's not even feasible.
Only a fool would knowingly turn out a job with machining mistakes.
i really hope so! This is my favorite spontaneous combustion of all time! Despite being offered water and co2 to put out the flames, it just keeps burning!?! So much fun to watch.
Poke... Poke... Poke...
