Howdy,

Are there any significant differences in the learning curves for using these different types of reticles?

Is one faster than the others in terms of making mental calculations when you don't have time to spin turrets, consult your Kestrel-PDA etc. setup?

Once learned, which one is easiest to use on the fly?

Apologies in advance if these questions are too vague, but my experience is limited to hunting situations working with duplex reticules, a rangefinder and home-made ballistic cards taped to the stock. The reason I'm asking is that I'll be investing shortly in a much higher end scope than I'm used to.

Thanks, B

DFOOSKING,

Thanks you very much for the reply.

Unfortunately I live in an area where few folks run the scopes discussed in this forum, so its tough to check them out. I was able to check out, however, a 8-32x56 NF and 6-20x50 M4 Leupold at dusk this evening, but neither of these are under consideration.

In answer to your question about which scope/s are under consideration, I'm going to post that info in a separate thread called "Multi-purpose Scope Recommendation" with some particulars about purposes & equipment experience.

Thanks again, B
