I've got quite a few keyboards I've used and discarded over the years. You can come over and take your pick from the stack. The lawyers say I must attach a biohazard sticker before letting it out of the house, but don't worry about that; I'm clean.

Re: mil vs moa which is more accurate

I shoot with S&B scopes that have Mil reticles and MOA turrets. After a while it becomes second nature doing the math if you want to but having everything in MIls is mentally easier.
Forget about ranging with a Mil Dot reticle. You may be close but at 1000 yards if your ranging is off then the rest of your adjustments are attention to precision are for nothing. I use a range finder then I decide if I want to use the reticle for hold over in which case I think Mils or if I decide to use the turret adjustment then I think MOA numbers not clicks. My turret is 1/4 MOA but it is a whole lot faster turning the turret to #37.6 than it is counting 151 clicks.
I have created small range cards with 25 yard increments that give me MOA clicks, MOA numbers, and MIls and Inches. I have these for all the different bullets I shoot and refer to these after I range the target. I find them faster to use than the Ipod and they don't need break down.

Re: mil vs moa which is more accurate

I'd never used an ffp mil/mil scope prior to this year. I can't imagine shooting without one now. I went out tonight with an ffp moa/moa scope and my ffp mil/mil scope. The mil scope is hands down easier for me to shoot quickly and accurately at long range.

I imagine we're going to see a lot more mil/mil scopes in the future as guys catch on.

Re: mil vs moa which is more accurate

I'm new to shooting long ranges and pretty much new to scopes. I had to make this same decision when buying my scope and it was very hard to make. Lots of hours reading on here and lots of opinions. I choose mil/mil ffp. You can't go wrong with either one but mil is alot easier to learn and many people all over the world and at many differant ranges use it and if you need help they can speak the same language as you. Good luck with your choice and try not to lose to much sleep over it and just make sure turrets match the reticle.
