Anyone have an opinion on these. I need a new hammer drill and sawzall. Hows the battery compared to 18 or 24 volt. I know there more money but wanna know if its worth it

I use the 28 volt hammer drill at work daily . Battery life is good for what it does. Have used it for 1" holes.

I have the 18 volt set for home use. The drill doesn't hold a candle to the 28 volt. It works well up to 1/2"

The 18 volt sawzall kicks ass !

Exactly what he said.

I have the circular saw, the hammer drill, and the sawzall. Great tools, and they recharge quickly. The one draw back is the batteries are hellishly expensive when you have to replace them. Almost cheaper to buy a new tool.

The sawzall will really tear some shit up; its actually stronger than their corded one. All in all Milwaukee is hardto beat.

Re: Milwaukee 28 volt Lithium-ion

They make great stuff for the most part. I look at the ancillary stuff like cost of batteries, number of additional tools that can be offered using the same battery and service location.

I went with DeWalt about 6 years ago after years of Porter Cable as my mainstays but have a couple Milwuakee saws and hammer drills among other brands. Dewalt has a service center here in Tampa and the $87.00 batteries are occasionally offered up in twin packs for $119.00 clams at the Depot or Lowes!

Don't rule out Makita and Bosch!

Re: Milwaukee 28 volt Lithium-ion

I own a several Milwaukee tools. For sure they're built tough and last a long time, but they are damn heavy. I'll keep my Milwaukee tools, but if I have to work up high or in awkward position, I grab my Makita tools.
