Rifle Scopes More ideas for an Ideal sniper/markmans scopemount

Re: More ideas for an Ideal sniper/markmans scopem

Savage

The two sets (separate rings) have only been made as prototypes and I will likely not go into production with the two sets for a cuople of months yet.
But if you can live with it there is the one piece that is 1,2" high for both 30 and 34mm.

The problem is the spacing, I have a Tac Ops and Mike R. only uses 2 piece bases, so It wont work
Hakan, Im sending you a PM.

Re: More ideas for an Ideal sniper/markmans scopem

I believe this is one of the most innovative and thought out scope/equipment mounts to come about in many years. Congratulations on the fine example of thoughtfulness, craftsmanship and expertise in design. I am sure you will not have a problem selling all you can manufacture. I am sure the people here on SnipersHide appreciate you incorporating some of the suggestions sent in by them. Good luck with your endeavor.

I do not now, as I don't have any.
I have only seen one US optics in sweden, and I did own that one.....but sold since.

So could you please tell me the size of the erector housing?
what tube diameter?

In the group buy thread I asked about the dimensions of the mount to see if a USO will fit, but it doesnt look good. Here's the info:

Excuse the crude lines, but this is the measurement I need. Logic says it should be wider on the cantilever, but the drawing doesn't make it seem to be any wider.

The space betwen the rings are 62mm/2,44" for the 30mm
For the 34mm it's 57mm/2,24"

Would that work with the EREK knobs?

It looks like the erector housing is too long for the USO to fit; it's a no go. That's a real pity for US Optics owners.

I belive for mostly USO models it's no problems, but for the ones with the dual knobs it's a no go.
Until further I will not make the mount longer, because if I make it that much longer, it will most likely be a collision with some other mounts.

And for those of you interested in the mounts the group buy is running for august.

For the scope that I posted the rings need to be at least 3 1/8" apart, inside to inside, and outside to outside can't be more than 4 7/8". I can see that it might not be cost effective for you to make these, although I bet there are others who want your mount for a TPAL USO. I used the American Defense mount below and it works well, but I would like to have the options that your mount offers (20 moa, bubble level, etc.).

Re: More ideas for an Ideal sniper/markmans scopem

Our rings are 1,25" long each, so they will never work on that scope. If I made the rings shorter, they would be less good for the interfaces.
And to make our mounts without the interfaces doesent seems like a winning idea.

But it doesent matter how I would have made the mounts, it would be in a collision with one or more scopemmodels anyway ..........

Sorry

Re: More ideas for an Ideal sniper/markmans scopem

If the frontring are turned out conical in the front those 1,25" long rings would probably work just fine on the T-pal scopes.
In the future it would be possible to make a special run of ten mounts or more for the T-pal.
