What do you have?

That was my wife's Bronco. We sold it when we left CA in 2019 for $15K and the guy showed up with a cashier's check and never even tried to start it. It would go for about $25K now with the resurgence of interest after the release of the new Broncos..

This is mine that we still have.
Gatekeeper on Doran Canyon at the 35th Anniversary of the Bronco event. Centerfold of 4Wheel & Off Road.

I would drive mine just like in the picture for the snow runs up in Big Bear. Just wore polypro and Goretex instead of a t-shirt..
Back when the Broncos were real.

On occasion we would have pipeliners come into town for meetings and want to have a little entertainment. My expense reports were never questioned by upper management so I was the one who would go along to pay the bill. This kind of expense was put under the category “hammer repair”.

A friend told me of a time one of his junior engineers, working on a remote construction project, submitted an expense request with a line item for "Escort Services". Pretty high dollar item. The phone call went out and this employee was informed, in no uncertain terms, that escort services were not reimbursable. "But it was for the contractor". "What? That's worse, you paid for an escort for the contractor??". "Yes, he really needed it". "There is no way this company is paying escort fees for the contractor!!" "But, but they had flaggers, 2 pilot cars and everything."

Thank you,
MrSmith

Hope he can pay the note. Otherwise Ford gonna shut it down remotely.

hmmm... Cell phone companies started transferring your incoming and outgoing calls to the collection department 25 years ago. People loved it when mom called and got "collections".

Shutting down the A/C may be going a little too far. I would think they would kill the ignition and send a repo guy when it hit 60 days. Maybe a collection's bot that replaced the music on the radio?

that was funny

I never spent company money for entertainment without clearing it with our regional manager first. It was accounting that said to use “hammer repair” as the expense category. When our CEO. came to visit, on occasion, he would take the office group out to dinner. He would hand me the bill to pay, knowing that there would be no problems with accounting.

This used to be pretty common practice, but then too many audits and then every company implemented T&E policy that the top person had to submit the expense reports.

I remember when my boss would have me submit all expense statements so that he could approve them. There was one "team building" exercise that would not go over in today's world.

other question -
If you pay your car payment (granted late) say by 10 days, does ford owe you pain and suffering for loss of usage of said vehicle and amenities?
if you owe for March, and you pay March 10, doesn't that CAR PAYMENT cover ALL of March?
so, wouldn't this constitute a 'taking' by FORD? Technically you paid for ALL of March, even though you were late.
Is ford going to compensate the loss of AC for those 10 days that the car owner PAID for?

Only if you financed through Ford, right? Otherwise, why would they care? The banks own the title, not the dealer.

Ford is a bank!
"Ford Motor Credit Company LLC, d/b/a Ford Credit, is the financial services arm of Ford Motor Company, and is headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan. The predominant share of Ford Credit's business consists of financing Ford and Lincoln vehicles and supporting Ford and Lincoln dealers."

i was racing at firebird raceway years ago

it was so hot i actually turned the AC on

id keep it on while in traffic but when i saw an opening start to form id turn it off
I got yelled at for running my AC while in the tech line.... as if there was any chance of getting to the starting line within an hour of being in tech.
My turbo'd hooptie went faster with more heat in the engine - so letting it cool off was counter-productive.

It's a BMW just like the engine, ZF gearbox, and platform are BMW, and it's made in Austria.

" The inline-six engine, for example, is sourced from BMW, *The 2.0 -4 is a BMW engine too — although Toyota's engineers tuned it specifically for the Supra. The eight-speed automatic transmission is also from BMW, and the chassis is the same one found in the Z4. Both cars are built at the Magna Steyr plant in Graz, Austria." My bad. Yasmine Bleeth. From Baywatch I think.
I dunno man…the “reference” chick seems not to have blue eyes…the guy who said it’s maybe Karina Flores seems to be onto something. She’s the second chick below.

I reverse image searched the reference and couldn’t find anything.

Edit: shit, I just googled “Karina Flores nudes” and up a bunch of pics, both of the reference image and a bunch of others of her. Wtf Google reverse image search?

If you don't purchase it from a BMW dealer it isn't a BMW.

29 hits on TinEye. Some of them are inconsistent but most point towards Karina Flores...

So, which one prevailed, ultimately? The snake looks like it has the markings of a "Canebreak/Timber Rattler" but without the orange stripe. But in the same location as a leopard? Unless this is Africa and it's a longer Puff adder or something... ???

Not sure mate, now the Bourbon has worn off it does look more like a photo shop job....

Here's the deal as far as I know. I worked for a Toyota dealership for 21 years before going to my own shop{ My wife ran the business I just turned wrenches with the guy's in the shop} and eventually going Career Fire Service in North Carolina. I went to the Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician in 1993 in Torrance and Long Beach California. They were a top notch Company then... May still be now. I met "Service Engineers" there that I thought were like me. Maybe smarter but all they gave a shit about was a good customer outcome. I also got to work with the best { in my opinion} Service Writer in the car business. Not just in the shop I worked in but any dealership in the Country, seriously she is the Best Service Manager now and the best I've ever seen. I'm glad I went from Volunteer to Career Fire. God Bless those guy's but all the financial security I have is from those 21 year at a Toyota Dealership. They are like Hendrick Automotive. They see potential ant try to make the most of it. an
