Even if the thought of putting a round thru your malingering ass while you sucked face with Maser ever crossed my mind I would stop it so you two could enjoy your moment, I'm considerate like that.

Why are you always so angry?

One of the few things that the USCG is very good at is double jeopardy, they will face civilian charges and do their time in state prison only to get out just in time for a court martial and probably time in Ft. Leavenworth courtesy of the UCMJ. I have seen it happen.

Samezies. I was the discipline Officer booting people for many yrs at 3 duty stations. And I seen that a number of times. Felonies off base while active duty is insane. Especially rape of a passed out minor while married with children and snap chatting your shipmates during the act. Can't make this shit up.

I don’t care much for heights, so, I wouldn’t sleep a wink. Then again, I’d have probably soiled myself in the first 100 ft of the climb.

The thing is, big wall climbing, especially when aid climbing, it's sort of like working for a moving company. You lift shit, drag shit, tie this to that. There's a phrase, actually the name of a route: Steep is Flat. Your eye/brain is used to having a horizontal reference plane. Even if you live in the hills, it's like your brain finds its own natural level. When I used to climb walls often, I got very used to exposure, even was addicted to it. Somewhere in the range about 400-600' off the ground, my brain would flip and the plane of the wall would become my eye/brain reference plane. You know that the "real" down is still there, and it will kill you, but you are in a battle with gravity and that's all that matters. Lift all that heavy shit, over and over.
