Apparently Dirty D or 1J04 vacationed on Morocco recently.

That was expensive.......

My thoughts exactly. I used to work on the Hughes/MD500 platforms and was doing a mental rundown of what all would be "red tagged" and the inspections required to get that thing airworthy again. That's one of those cases where depending on the insurance payout you might be better just treating that thing like a Data Plate and starting over.

I was also picturing "that" look on the (A&P) Mechanic's face when he saw it. An ooops was usually entertaining (providing there weren't casualties) , with the pilot talking to the bosses trying to tell The Story and the maintenance guys cursing and kicking shit. I'm positive that "fucking pilots" came out of someone's mouth on that one.

My personal favorite thing about that clip is the fact that crazy nutcase bitch Maxine Waters is on the panel. The woman who clearly gets offended by EVERYTHING and yet sitting back keeping her fucking mouth shut for once as Bill Maher destroys Liberals who get offended.

Frank got some seasonal work this year ...

Ol' Santa has legs like Cotton Hill.

(And those poor kids are actually my niece and nephew!)

As a former "fucking pilot" and test pilot...it looks like it got started with the ground-handling wheels still attached. Bad preflight. That box hanging underneath it may have been for rotor-smoothing. So maybe they were just doing ground runs and neglected to lower the wheels after re-positioning it.

Great catch! I had to look at it on a bigger screen to see the ground handling wheels and what looks like the Strobex.

Originally I would've guessed it was an oops while teaching someone to hover. God knows I could've done much worse damage than that if I'd had an object to hit while trying to learn. Do you think maybe Ground Resonance while doing blade tracking and the pilot pulled some pitch or the ship "walked" on him?

FWIW, I was mostly a field guy (not a hangar guy) so I spent countless hours sitting in the fuel/maintenance truck with some great "fucking pilots" out in remote LZs, and may or may not have covered up some pretty funny shit while we were away from the flagpole.
