MPA vs MDT for my B14R?

I’m trying to decide on a chassis for my B14R. Looking heavily at the MPA options with adjustable mag catch. Hybrid and comp. Although I haven’t handled an MPA

I’ve used MDT. Looked at the ACC chassis but length of the forend may be an issue. For those that have used these can a suppressor fit in the forend? Like a griffin Optimus micro or TBAC 22 takedown

It would be the two listed above. Just assuming someone has tried at least one of them in this configuration. As I assume the barrel won’t clear the end of the forend

Just measure the diameter, if it's not bigger than the barrels the chassis will accept it'll work.

My cans are in nfa jail currently. But according to websites for the chassis and can it should work

So which one is recommended between MPA and MDT? Would like to avoid or be able to tune out feeding issues

Would like to run my B14r action in my ACC chassis but the barrel is about an inch and a half too short to clear the forend. Any suggestions on a small diameter extension/ faux suppressor. I know there used to be weights that were threaded for 22lr that were like 4-5” long. Can’t remember where...

The adjustable mag catch that MPA is definitely helpful with getting reliable feeding with the factory mags, if you run the ones from L3i it’s a moot point since you can adjust the latch to fit the chassis

Honestly eithers fine, if you run without a can a lot the MPA

I have both Chassis' and use them interchangeably. They are both fantastic and will work with or without your can. If your worried about the MDT length, cut it back and refit the end Cap.
My only suggestion is buy all the weights you can for the chassis. The B14 bbl is light and the 2 chassis' are very butt heavy. To balance my mtu bbl at 22 inches... my ACC weighs 19.5 pounds... and has a full set of grey ops weights .. well 5 anyway.... Just FYI.

What’s the thoughts on the MPA ultra lite chassis?

This will be for long range .22 target and Varmint shooting. Gopher, pigeons, rats stuff of that nature

Not necessarily looking for a clone for any prs training. Just a well rounded, well balanced, suppressed precision .22

I believe you can, I know the forend is a little shorter then the normal one and i believe they use set screws instead of thumb screw throughout.

I decided to give an MDT ACC from the px a try. Likely will add a full internal weight kit to the forend and see where that gets me for balance

They seem to feed reliably for the B14R and Vudoo from the few reports I’ve seen. If it doesn’t work out I’ll trade it out for a MPA Comp.

Watched some videos @Covertnoob5 had on YouTube with the MPA Matrix and AAC and the loosening adjustable mag latch from MPA turned me off from that for my first choice. As that was a concern when looking at the design that I noted

So we’ll see how it turns out

Thanks for watching! I believe all MPA chassis now are using the similar mag latch setup. I’ve got a matrix pro review I’m filming now. It’s still a set screw but a better design and I have had any issues at all with the pro as far as the latch is concerned.
For rimfire so far I actually think the KRG C4 is the best option with its infinitely adjustable mag well and huge barricade stop.

No they don’t lol but given the new pricing on the ACC elite and matrix pro it’s not super out of line. Still on the high side but to be honest my action has never fed smoother in any chassis vs my C4.

I think for .22 because of how finicky the mags can be especially with pressure, the C4 really shines.

Gun shows a lot of promise so I’m sticking some $$ in it to make it how I want. Hoping I don’t have issues I can’t work out. I already staked the ejector as I had a multitude of issues with that from day 1

It’s okay, I shot mine once (50 rounds or so) before it ended up in a manners PRS1 with a TT special and a few little tweaks with the original L3i mags. Then I took it to my first 22 match, had the ejector give me problems and issues feeding, before the match was half over I had a RimX action and barrel on it’s way, now it’s my loaner/light weight rig sitting in a KRG Bravo.

Moral of the story… precision rimfire is a deep and sometimes expensive rabbit hole, because now my 22 is more badass then my centerfire PRS rig.
