So..Ive Got my scope mounted and Bore sighted
Love the scope BTW.Vortex pst 6-24x50.FFP
Griffen rings
MK4 20moa base
Gonna stay with the Factory 5R stock with the Wyatts dbm for now
Up next..A Bipod.....
Any recommendations ???
Remember..Kinda on a budget

also...sending my bolt to Chad Dixon
for a Flute and knob job!..lol
Cant beat the deal hes giving us Hide members!!!!
Thnking about sending him the Barrel for a chop and thread
Going with 18.5 on it

Maybe even flute job on it..havent made up my mind on that yet..
Im thinkng this is everything I need Done to get started the way I want to

I prefer 6-9. The 9-13 was too tall. I also have an atlas and love it. Both are great and it all comes down to what works best for you.

I have a Harris and I think its great. I have the 6-9 and think its a perfect height. Never had an Atlas so I cant compare but the Harris does a fine job

Harris brm-s is the way to go, look up LAC on here and ward will give you a great deal. I run a 6-9 on my bolt gun and have a 9-13 on my mk12. On a whim, I put the 9-13 on my bolt gun and really liked it. Comes in handy for high angle shooting prone or on a rest. As far as a bench goes it is a little much but manageable. Lay down and put some dunnage under your rifle to gain the height your comfortable at, measure it then repeat on your table. Hope this helps, good luck and good shooting!

6-9 swivel notched leg for bench and 9-13 swivel notched leg for field prone use. Sorry I don't remember the exact model codes.

Nice build. Keep us posted. Harris and Atlas are both very good bipods. If money is not an issue I would go with the Atlas. I love mine.

I would have had to do to much work for it to be Correct.

The 2.0 was already Skim bedded for a 5R
The skins took all of 5 min to install
Its a Bit Heavy...Buy I luv the Look and feel!

I realy love what im seeing... beutiful rifle..i have the same 5r and imso thinkin about cuting to 18" barrel.ED what load are you workin on?

I don't feel so bad now, I have a 5r I been playing with and keep changing my mind on what to do with it. I need to just sell it and move on but I keep thinking it would make a nice hunting rifle until I buy a chassis and make it too heavy like my other rifles. I been thinking about cutting it to 18" and getting a muzzle brake installed then dropping it into a Mcree chassis for a truck gun. I am dead set on having a dbm so it's easier to load/unload. What's sad is I haven't shot it in over a year but I still sent the bolt off to get fluted and a bolt know installed.

What possessed you to put the pic rails on the sides? I have the short pic rails on mine so that I can use a flush cup sling but I don't get the reason for the full length rails for a casual (non military) user.

Youl be amaze how accurate this rifle once u find the node.. ive never seen 5r that dont shoot .5 or better. I would just have fun with including cuting barrel til bareel life is done.. i got few custom rifle and my stock 5r with jewell trigger A5 stock making bug hole just as easy as my custom rifles..

It shoots great but I haven't touched it since I had a custom rifle built.
