if you could do it again would you have bought the super varmint with the stock adjustable peice or do you like the sniper aid better?

That cheekrest looks the same as the one Karsten makes. I know i love mine and couldn't do with out it on my Sig SHR 970.

I'm not sure if I would have spent the extra $750 for the super varmint aye for the cheek rest or I would have bought one. I've held and shot both and i prefer my rifle (typical lol) but in all honesty i feel the sniperaid rest is awesome i got two, one on my tikka and one on my rem 870 pump for duck shooting. Can't live without one.

Hi macman, yeah i to have a karsten but saw these when i was moling around for gun parts and thougt i'd give them a go as the material is more suited to what i do (hunting) i just found my kydex one was a bit noisy when bush stalking (clunky plastic sound). I like the karsten don't get me wrong, i have one too, but i think the sniperaid one is just built better. It actually reduces the recoil felt through to your cheek somehow and my groupings are tighter (don't know if its just me). But i agree once you get an adjustable cheek rest it makes a huge difference and like you i dont think i could hunt without one.

Your gun got me interested enough to sign up to the forum!
I have a t3 lite in .223 rem and have had some good luck hitting some rabbits out to 400m down here in Melb. i just ordered the karsten cheek rest from the states and my next thing will be to paint it. i was wondering what paint you used on you barrel and action?
