Good Ole USA
without having seen all the evidence or testimony, i still say GOOD!

this isn't to say that our guys aren't capable of going overboard and committing crimes, but...

Obama, McCain, Clinton, Kerry and Brennan all literally armed Sunni terrorists in Syria, starting the war that resulted in over half a million dead Syrians and countless murdered and raped Christians across areas that were controlled by the "rebels" they armed.
Even more ridiculous was Obama sending our troops to fight the terrorists he fucking armed in the first place.

So until those assholes hang for 500,000 dead as a result of their treason (arming enemies of the United States), I don't really give a shit about what is happening on the battlefield.

THIS, twice!!!!!

Can't believe that they have a problem with Millennials within the ranks you would think they would know by now how to weed out people who would not represent the core of the seals.

Still fucked...taking pic w/ dead enemy. Better get on the case of these members of the "Greatest Generation". Shouldn't be too hard, AP credited photo.

I'm glad this worked out this time.

Though this case is obviously different, frankly, I'm tired of seeing people who weren't downrange and involved second guessing our war fighters. War is an ugly, terrible, disgusting act and ugly, terrible, disgusting shit happens. If we, as a people, can't accept that bad things happen during combat then don't send our people over in the first place.
Nobody was charged with the firebombing of Dresden or Tokyo. Why? Because we fought to win. I believe we need to stop handcuffing our war fighters. Don't have the stomach to see dead civilians or fucked up enemy bodies, don't send us over. We used to fight to win. Now, with all the amazing capabilities we have, it seems our ROE has us fighting to a stall and then endless conflicts bleeding us dry for decades.

Congrats to him, and Bravo-Zulu to the jury members for sticking to the law and the UCMJ rather than allowing politics and internal pressure win the day.

For the Chief, glad he won this fight, but sadly his reputation is tainted for life. I hope he gets one hell of a book deal because the chances of him ever getting clearanced type work is next to nil. Best wishes to him and his family in the new chapter of their lives.

What do you call someone with 3 book deals, prime time tv interviews, and hated by more than half your peers?

He beat the rap but sounds like a total tool and a terrible leader if half his platoon testified against him.

Justice is served.

All due respect to @Fig aside..........

Justice will be served when Gallagher is made whole again financially and the prosecutors are in jail for misconduct. Then, the tables are even. Gallagher isn't coming out ahead, not by a long shot. He deserves much better.

The prosecutor needs to be charged or disciplined or whatever the facts merit, but there’s no way to get your money back from these things after you’re convicted of one of the charges.

Now time to prosecute that $#@ing JAG douche-bag who exhibited conduct unbecoming among numerous other career-ending violations... in his over-zealous prosecution.

The prosecutor needs a dishonorable and a disbarment. And probably a session in which some SEALs bitch-slap the Shiznitt out of him.

A great day for America!

Cheers,

SIrhr

Yes, I'm aware of that.

Also, I think you may have meant to say "after you’re charged with of one of the charges", not "after you’re convicted of one of the charges"........correct ? The ambulance chaser's meters start running, usually even before formal charges are filed.......

No fkn wonder folks bail and go contracting, an easier boat to ROE....

Tell that to the guys at Blackwater that got hung out to dry, raked over the coals and accused of everything from genocide to failure to parallel park...

Wherever the leftist Social Justice Warrior butt-pirates show up (along with their tame media) they will go after warriors for doing warrior stuff. Because A. They don't have it in them. B. Because after two bong hits, they are all Cyrus Vance and can jaw jaw jaw their way to peace and rainbows and love. C. They are all commie-loving, Muslim hugging, apologists for everything.

The hard part is wearing a uniform or carrying a weapon anywhere on the planet... where a peter puffer can see you. Which these days, is everywhere.

No, I’m saying he doesn’t get to claim innocence now when he goes with his hand out looking for money.

I’m pretty sure the hit job on Blackwater was directed by Iran. They did a good job on the WPPS contract and Iran wanted them replaced with amateurs so they could get through.

Well people who can’t park are annoying... Why T F someone thought embedding media elements
was a good idea I’ll never understand.

It was directed by a smarmy little twat sociology professor at either Bennington or Middlebury College, a former senior diplomat here in Vermontistan and the uber left who hated the idea of 'mercenaries'. I can't remember the name of the professor but they claimed BW was using nerve gas... and had tried to assassinate her. Wrote either a book or expose. And all the lefties jumped on it. That was the beginning of the end. Had to listen to that twat for years whine about how her life was in danger because mercenaries were out to get her.

Iran no doubt targeted BW in some ways... but they weren't around for the bridge when four operators got killed, dragged, burned and hung from a bridge. By the time Iran was a serious player, BW was on the ropes anyway. By 2009, they were in pretty sad shape.

Ultimately, war is dangerous. It's more dangerous when you're afraid to wage it because Dan Rather or Wolff Blitzer are crawling up your ass with a camera and a lawyer.

How so ?.........The Jury just found him Innocent, correct ? Maybe I'm dense and missing something, but I'm not getting your point. I do get the fact that he's never going to see any compensation. But, Innocent is Innocent, right ? To me, whether he goes hat in hand looking for money is an open question. To me, it's doubtful he will. Law of diminishing returns.

As far as Blackwater, I don't know enough details to speak intelligently, so I'll stop here.
