Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher not guilty

^^^This^^^

I'm retired USAF and I couldn't remember the specifics on it, but most O-5 and below won't even consider demotion proceedings of an E-8/9.
Wing commander and above to even think of going up the chain.

I remember our Chief in the morning meetings.
If an officer said/did something stupid or asked a stupid question, Dave would get all up in their ass over it.
All of us Senior NCOs knew he held no love for them.
It was comical as hell because we had a few new LTs that thought they could tell Dave what to do.
HA!!

My battalion Sergeant Major would make butter bars tremble with just a look.

Killing a combatant not wearing his nations uniform is a summary execution offense as stated in the Geneva convention, he could have and should have skinned that muther fucker strip by strip on video.

The O Corps is not worthy to command American youth, not trustworthy, not worthy in any aspect.

The JAG Corps has been weaponized against our military, its a small cadre but is doing great damage. The seal should do the honorable thing.

Dont let your kids join the military gents. Its not the Mil you served in.

You don't have a clue do you? There are people out there that don't answer to those you think they would. Have you lived under the protection of your parents an others for so long, you can't think for yourself?
There’s a distinction to be made between people lacking knowledge and authority.
The scumbag thinks he can hold a jury decision in contempt, what an arrogant asshole.
The jury convicted him of a crime. Now he faces the consequences. It’s not rocket surgery.
You may want to ask this of your elected officials for the last 3 decades or better.

R
I’ll give you that.
^^^^my quote butting won’t work

“Grand uncle” WWII in pacific theatre (enlisted at 16 years old)
It you only had a few jap prisoners after firefight you would walk them into the jungle and toss a grenade.
We were so short on men in the beginning of the war they didn’t want to weaken the platoon by 2-3 men for just a few prisoners.

Right or wrong that’s reality of war.
Not the video game everyone thinks it is.
I’m not phased by situations with exigency. Had they boated out to a troop ship and shot the prisoners there would be an issue.
That's at least twice you've said that. With that black and white attitude about the law, we would still be paying the Brits tax on our tea.
Not at all. If you know anything about the ideological origins of the American revolution you know that the colonists were defending their legal rights as Englishmen against unlawful actions by the crown. It wasn’t until Common Sense was published that there was popular support for divorce from the monarchy.
Hi,

How to tell when your ship is sinking.

When you start your discussion with:
GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY

Then you transition to:
PERJURY, PERJURY, PERJURY

Then you attempt to transition to:
SPLIT DECISION, SPLIT DECISION, SPLIT DECISION

Pretty good chance you are on a sinking ship and should rescue yourself by STFU on said topic.

Sincerely,
Theis
It was my personal opinion that he was guilty. There was obvious perjury—you have eyes, you know there was. My belief was there would be a split verdict, the only surprise to me was I had thought they would get him for assault.

If someone was determined to take hold them personally responsible for their persecution it wouldn’t matter.
Unless you have a huge in, trying to find someone in Witsec is almost impossible unless they do something stupid.
Oh? Why would they have to be?
Yet again,... you can't do the math!
FYI,...Some people who are purposely fucked over, jailed ect, don't play nice there after.

No, I knew exactly what you meant. Just wanted you to say it it loud. Sounds like you agree with me that is unit has significant cultural and disciplinary issues.

He's a free man. That is all that matters now. Not guilty of anything other than taking an "unauthorized" photograph. How many here have "unauthorized" photos, souvenirs and such? I would have been CMed under current rules...more than once.

Remember the briefings before you got aboard a MAC (AMC) flight about personal weapons? Anyone ever violate that?

The jury convicted him of posing with a dead combatant . Or the jury convicted a Warrior for doing the shit that Warriors do . You're a spineless fuck wit .
" Good men and women sleep peacefully at night because rough men perform unspeakable acts of violence on their behalf " . The only thing that should be coming out of your cocksucker is thank you .

Me? No. Never...

I hope Trump pardons his one "guilty" conviction to keep his record clean, I believe he was the one who ordered him to be released from the brig

I hope Trump finds the balls to do just that and perhaps like over the 4th of July weekend!

That would be a great T-bagging to the Communists.

Since he was found guilty of taking inappropriate photograph at a general court martial the judge can reduce him in rank and discharge him without retirement pay so yea he is not going to jail but he's done with the Navy.

Which may be very good for him, as being a PC pays so much more.

well he was reduced to E6 from E7 at least he gets to retire and it wont really hurt his retirement pay since they use high 3 which they add up all your base pay for the last 3 years of service then divide by 36 and since he made it to 20 years he gets 50% of that so a couple of weeks at E6 pay wont really do shit to the bottom dollar.

I can agree with you on this. For this team to fall apart like that, something is terribly wrong. The guys I served with had each others back.

He’s been found not guilty, cool. He was found not guilty by the right as soon as the story broke. He was immediately assumed to be guilty by anyone who has any sort of (external) experience with that community.

We have rules for a reason and they are what separate us from those that we hunt. If you’re one that doesn’t believe the rules apply when faced with them, then you’re not a professional. By the sounds of it, there aren’t many here who have, yet many talk about how it’s ok in their eyes. Cool, that’s your opinion. It’s my opinion that it’s ignorant as fuck.

As for the BW discussion, unless you were in country and on the TO with them, then you don’t get to have an acknowledged opinion as to what happened or why it happened (either event discussed).

Lastly, service or lack thereof, doesn’t validate or invalidate your opinion. Just because you’re a vet (combat or not) doesn’t mean your opinion carries any weight. Same goes for non-vets, regardless of family history/mil association. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and no one’s opinion is any more valid than another’s.

Have a safe 4th everyone and cheers.

You really don't have a clue about the real world, an that statement proves it as fact,... Keep living in fantasy land,...
In the real world people who murder witnesses from their trials die in prison. You’re welcome to come back to the real world. Or are you living in the distant past?

Lot of bad motherfuckers out there who don’t break the law.
They aren't in it for the culture
Had an interesting series of conversations with a friend who was an SNCO at an ARSOF selection program. He compared various selection programs and was adamant that the SEAL program was tailor made to select people who fit into their culture, and to reinforce it. Then he had to admit that SF managed to lose control of their own culture. Interesting conversations.

Someone hit the nail on the head in the other thread. 8 teammates turned on him and an ODA from 3rd group sent him home. Something wasn’t right. His defense attorneys agreed and said it was from head injuries.

Hey, Guess what? He was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. Found guilty of posing with dead Tonk for a photo.

Its over. He gets to retire. He wins......Again.

Now maybe he colluded with the Russians?

RysnScott, you have a habit of putting words into the mouths of others, trying to respond to questions by side-stepping and deflecting. You have thrown around several accusations without any proof.

I'd suggest you go find another sandbox to play in... your argumentative posts don't seem to mix well here.

Now time to prosecute that $#@ing JAG douche-bag who exhibited conduct unbecoming among numerous other career-ending violations... in his over-zealous prosecution.

The prosecutor needs a dishonorable and a disbarment. And probably a session in which some SEALs bitch-slap the Shiznitt out of him.

A great day for America!

Cheers,

SIrhr
