Finally getting around to post some pictures!
Professional picture of the rifle:
This rifle is amazing. Typical fantastic craftsmanship from Jered at APA!
Specs:
308 Win
Badger M2008 action
KMW stock OD/Tan/Black marble
barrel 24 inches, threaded 5/8x24
This is she looks like (most definitely non professional pic by me!)with a nightforce scope before heading out to do ladder testing!
Turns out h4895 will be the powder I'll develop a load for first! Varget is no slouch either.
100 yard target with Mccourt's ammo just after breaking in- My friend thought he was cute and fired a 223 round into my target.
Initial 3 shots at 300 yard target with Corbon 175 on day of load testing. It's pretty small pic I know, look at orange dot target in the middle (group's just less than an inch). For whatever reason, my subsequent picture on the same target showing load development targets will not upload.
In very preliminary load testing at 300 yds, H4895 42.3-42.8 gns in winchester brass and the 175 SMK shows real potential! Interestingly so does around 41 grains. Range report when I get to go to 600 and 1000 with chrono and equally hopefully this Sunday. Will try lapua brass too.
Flat out love my APAs.
