NEW - Atlas CAL (Cant and Loc) Bipod - PRE-ORDER (added 12.14)

What do you mean you appreciate the free shipping? It should be free shipping it's their poor design so it should be replaced or repaired.

Hey you know what: Just because something can be improved does not mean that the original was a poor design. The original's are really nice. I own three, and I would be very happy with them with out the free upgrade. Even if they were a poor design, a poor design can easily be fixed----- Your problem is that once you are an asshole you are always and everywhere an asshole.

Quick PSA. I sent my CAL gen 1 to B&T for the upgrade a few days ago. Received a voicemail this morning that they received it and that parts are coming in so my upgrade is in the queue.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate the time and courtesy on the part of B&T to make a call and keep me in the loop.

Thanks Kasey and Nathan.

Absolutely. I didn’t expect free shipping, just seeking clarity.

Thanks again Kasey.

You know what, aauya (ED), if you can show me a receipt where you bought a Gen1 CAL from us, we will not only pay for the return shipping, I'll refund your money x 2.

I'm glad you guys are liking the Gen 2, we sincerely appreciate your patronage and patience. We are getting these out asaap and plan on pulling more parts for conversions from next batch so as to cut that wait down. Somedays, running a small bussiness seems like hearding cats!! lol

You know there are several posts in the forums bashing on customer service for the various compamies of this industry. Kasey your company is definitely not one of those companies, you have an amazing product at a very fair price that is backed by customer service that many in this industry should model themselves after.

Kudos to you sir on an excellent product and some amazing stand up put your money where your mouth is support.

Thank you sir! I will pass your compliments along to the crew!

Will there be a 7-13 version coming?

I'm in the range where sometimes the h6-9 is to short and the 9-13 is too tall. The 7-13 would be perfect.

Yes we can do that by using the same legs as the BT47, not sure how much more that would cost but there would be an increase. Which mount, 2 screw or NC/lever?

That would be great! I want to put a RRS Arca/pic clamp on it so NC I would assume.

Good call! We'll discuss internally and post details up.

Kasey, im not looking to make money off of you or your company... just fix or swap it out with Gen 2. ive been more than satisfied with all the many other products i have purchased from BT in the past, just thought these should have been recalled once you had seen that there was a problem

Some of us actually like the original just as it is. For certain uses, the very solid lockup is preferred.

I appreciate your business and your position and I'll keep my word to you. Please uderstand I have yet to release a product that I was 100% satisfied with, that I did not see a problem with, that I believed could not be improved upon. That's me, being me. As has been expressed here, the Gen1 satisfies some shooters, just like the people still running the very first gen V7 Atlas with the pull leg design....everybody has thier own set of preferences. If there was anything inheriantly dangerous in using the Gen1 CAL, trust me, there would have been a completely different approach.

First, Thank you for your business and patience with the CAL. For clarity of what we are doing regarding the conversions, as we get parts for the CAL bipods we pull two dozen sets out for conversions then build the rest into Gen2's. This process is repeating every 2-3 weeks. However, please keep in mind if you call us today, we have parts for conversions, you ship today expecting a 2 day turn around but before we recieve your Gen1, we recieve 30 others to convert. We are now out of parts and there's now 6 bipods ahead of yours and we have not recieved yours yet... fact.

A follow up note of thanks to B&T who turned around my Cal upgrade in a mere few days.

@Kasey, thanks for your courtesy and please pass on my thanks to Nathan for his call. I’ve been out in the field and didn’t get call till late.

Kasey, thank you very much for the quick turnaround you are a man of your word it works perfect. And as for me I told you I didn't want the money I'm not trying to make money from you or your company I'm not cashing the check if you want I'll send it back .

I don't know why, but I haven't been getting updates on this thread, but I just saw this info on the upgrades. I will have to pay attention to the turnaround times and see about getting mine upgraded. Looks like a worthwhile upgrade.

I did go to Accu-Shot and sign up for the newsletter.

Thanks Kasey. (y)

Got a Cal Gen 2 and for me personally it’s exponentially better than the gen 1(and I liked the gen 1 a lot).

The tension is enough it doesn’t move unless you want it to, and not to much that you can’t get your rifle level without working the pod loc.

Well, I sent my old Cal 1 in for upgrade, got a phone call when they got it, shipped it back to me a few days later all updated. Then the post office struck! They wouldn't leave it in my lock box three blocks away from my house because it needed a signature and left me a notice of delivery attempt. The next day I drove to the PO to pick it up. Not to be found. I left them the info and my phone number. Never got a call. I emailed Kasey and company who had the PO search for it. The local post office said they have searched everywhere including in the truck where it was originally. Not found. Sooooo, Kasey and folks are filing a claim for the lost bipod and are sending me another one, which is in the mail at this time and should arrive in the box in two or three days. Good people! I am not so fond of the post office, however.

Me likey!

Can anybody tell me if you can convert the Picatinny clamp Cal bipod into a no clamp version or is it built into the body and can't be removed?
Clarified:
2 screw clamp - built into the body and can't be removed
ADM QD - can be removed

I think you are asking about the BT65 (two screw clamp assembly). I removed the ADM mount from my Gen 1 CAL and placed a RRS BTC-PRO on it. The same should be able to be done to the Gen 2 BT65-LW17.

Here is a zoom in on the Gen 2 CAL BT65-LW17 from B&T's website:

And a BT65-NC model

Finally the BT-65

Just sent in my BT-65 NC for the upgrade. It looks like it is definitely an upgrade although I didn't really have many comments about the bipod. It's awesome that BT Industries is doing a free conversion. It surely isn't free for them to do it, outstanding customer service.

Less than a week to get my gen 1 cal back converted to gen 2. Cost me shipping one way. Plus free tension adjustment parts for the gen 1. All round great serivce and product!

Based on this forum recommendation I ordered from On The Mark
OTM

Delivery was incredibly fast. I like this bipod. I am an old user of Harris bipods with KMW Podlocs, this is a flawless transition and I gain the stability/rigidity of the Atlas.

Discounts can be found elsewhere, but I'm happy to pay full price for a product made by a community-oriented company like Accu-shot. So, i put my money where my mouth is and placed an order for a gen 2 CAL direct from Accu-shot. Kasey, Thank you for your involvement in the community!

I got a phone call Thursday at work, at a time when I was expecting the boss to call. So, naturally I answered on my BT headset without seeing the screen and said "I was expecting a phone call right about now..."

Turns out it wasn't the boss! :ROFLMAO:

Instead, it was Cheyenne (spelling?), telling me my Gen1 CAL had arrived, and that they were expecting another batch of parts for the Gen2 conversion near the end of this next week. I told her that wasn't the call I was expecting, but that I was happy about that nevertheless!

Absolutely amazing customer service, I think I'm an Atlas guy for life! Thanks for everyone's hard work over there, and keep it up!

Pretty much the only company I know of who calls you to say "got your stuff, this is what we're doing and this is when you can expect it back"... good stuff.

Yes, that’s an easy conversion, minimal cost.

Please stop tempting me to exchange this guy.View attachment 7039957

LOL V7 pull leg Atlas, that was our first version!!! We’ll treat you right if you want a CAL, I believe you will like it.

Kasey, I would also like a CAL with the tall legs. No clamp. How do I get one?

Great! It’s our part number BT69-NC I think we make that “public” by April. I believe there’s a list being kept at [email protected]

Thanks again one and all for your patience and support!
